Le Sporting sur Pouilly-En-Auxois

We had a very good lunch (the beef bourguignon will remain a memorable dish), and after lunch the owner kindly suggested we go see the nearby Burgundy Canal and its vaulted tunnel. Which we did. It was a lovely little walk, and it's quite unusual to see a canal running underground for 3.3 km through the city. Thank you for pointing out this interesting feature; the canal is beautiful, too. If the opportunity arises, we will definitely return to this restaurant.

A stop on the highway to avoid a traffic jam led us to discover this lovely spot. The welcome was very warm, the service efficient, and the dishes very local. Beef from a nearby farm. As a bonus, they even gave us a helpful tip for local sightseeing. I highly recommend it.
