Le Square sur Cosne-Cours-Sur-Loire

I've been going to Square for lunch, dinner, or just a drink for a very long time. The dishes are simple, hearty, and delicious. I also appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the owner. A sure bet!

What's better than a daily menu, a burger (even to go), Liège-style meatballs on winter Sundays, cocktails and other delectable drinks, in a friendly setting, both indoors and on the terrace? Prices totally in line with the food. Service with care.

We booked last-minute for 9 people and were very well received. Fast service and excellent value for money. I recommend this place.

My favorite resturant. I have been coming here for about 13 years. Small but great menu. Best bavette I have had, merci Julien. M. et Mme are excellent hosts, we enjoy their chat and advice on food and wine. Great atmoshere and location plus open sunday evenings. M. speaks very good English, though we ask him not to and he is patient with my bad French. A must do if you are in the area.

Excellent meal taken Sunday at the Square, the Norwegian and chicken curry toasts, made to order, are generous and delicious and the desserts are delicious. Also very satisfied with the welcome and service.

I stopped in one evening by chance...I must say I was lucky. The food is excellent...the tartares are made with meat from the nearby butcher...and the burgers too (the bread is from the bakery across the street). The Belgian Maredsous beer is excellent. The service is delightful: the lovely lady explains all the dishes and constantly checks that everything is perfect. You can feel the passion and love for her work. I highly recommend it.
