Great small and authentic cafe. Fondue (yes I know it’s not traditionally French) was delicious and my husband said the steak frites were the best he’s had in our week in Paris. Very good veg options as well. Lots of locals and Europeans were there as well.

The truth is that better than expected, (and even more so after reading the comments, we ended up here due to the rain) Good food, lasagna and duck, we recommend it. The waiter doesn't speak English, but he makes himself understood. Quiet place without waiting. Affordable price (2 courses, soft drink, glass of wine and two coffees) and it is located right next to the Louvre exit. Local people. French food, assortment of crepes, fondues, etc. And extra point for letting me charge my phone, a real detail.

The confit du canard is simple but good value for money

Initially we had high hopes, waiter was nice and friendly, perhaps a little busy. We ordered food, we didn’t want much and order two sides of French fries. We were eventually told that fries cannot be ordered on their own and to try again. We ordered the crepes which they then delivered with the fries we originally ordered. Now we had more than we wanted and at twice the price as we didn’t want fries and mains. We also asked for water a few times but alas it never came. My husband speaks a little French and we ordered as clumsily as we could in French. In short, disappointed and I feel like tourists should avoid. I don’t take photos of places I dislike. I don’t get the negative reviews. We just had dinner. He haven’t even paid yet. The atmosphere is very nice, the food was good, tasty, maybe it would need a bit more salt. We had onion soup, fondue, pepper steak and linguine bolognese. I will talk about the three dishes that I personally tasted. The onion soup was great. The fondue was very tasty, maybe I would like a few more grams of cheese in the pot. The steak even if we asked for a well done, was medium. Nevertheless, the quantity and quality was great. We are having now desserts that look fine. I would suggest the place, as the food is good, the service is good, the atmosphere is very nice and it is near the louvre.

We tried the beef bourguignon, French onion soup, croque monsieur. Absolutely amazing! Atmosphere is laid back and family style.
