Very authentic local. Service personnel are nice but unfortunately it takes a long time for them to realize that they want something from you. The food was delicious.

Thomasian: Alsace is thematically good! A great discovery in the heart of Strasbourg! Le Thomasien offers a typically Alsatian experience in a warm and authentic atmosphere. The cuisine is generous and delicious, with perfectly executed regional specialties. Special mention for their tasty sauerkraut and crispy tartes flambées, all accompanied by a Christmas muscat and a little Riesling. The service is very professional, friendly and attentive, which adds to the pleasure of the meal. An essential address for those who want to taste the flavors of Alsace in a friendly atmosphere.

Even without a reservation we were able to get a nice, comfortable table, even though the restaurant was obviously full. Friendly, courteous and professional service. Lovely food at very good value for money. The ambience is charming and quaint. We can only recommend it. Thank you to the entire team!

Very warm welcome. Well eaten, very well garnished sauerkraut. The only criticism may be the desserts which are a little expensive. Otherwise the rest very good

Nach allen Bewertungen glaubten wir, wir könnten hier gut bürgerlich elsässisch essen. Das Thomasien liegt in der Rue des Dentelles, wo es einige Essmöglichkeiten gibt. Die Brasserie ist urig eingerichtet und die Bedienung war ok. Besteck und Gläser hätten sauberer sein können. Das Essen war enttäuschend. Es war zwar von ordentlicher Qualität aber gänzlich fad. Daher war es einfach nicht gut. Die Zwiebelsuppe war fad. Die Zwiebeln fein und nicht geröstet. Die Suppe mehr wässrig als eine Brühe. Der Käse und das Brot lagen extra dabei. Ich kenne dies anders: leckere Brühe, würzig, geröstete Brotscheibe und die gratiniert. Leider fad und enttäuschend. Das Backoeffe war mit Wasser gewürzt denn mit Weisswein. Alles andere ebenfalls ohne sonderliche Würzung. Der Flammkuchen nicht knusprig, sondern weich. Liegt es an den internationalen Gruppen? Kurz nach uns kam eine sehr laute japanische Gruppe. Es war einfach enttäuschend, weshalb wir das Lokal schnell verließen. Schade. Die Vorbewertungen waren besser als die Realität.

Pedimos un choucroute y un codillo natural y un flammenkechuey estaba todo muy bien. Servicio atento y buen precio. Esta cerca de la petit france pero lo suficientemente alejado para no estar muy turístizado. El local interior es muy agradable.

12/09/2024: Restaurant Le Kuhn was on my "want to go" list, and I also chose it out of convenience since it was close to my hotel. I had come from touring the Black Forest and, upon arriving in Alsace, I immediately noticed the difference in the cuisine... and in the French effusiveness! I really liked chatting about everyday topics with the waiter, everything was very pleasant. For lunch, we ordered a Flammenkueche classique, the classic Alsatian "pizza", a filet de boeuf Rossini (suggestion of the day, which came with pepper sauce when I expected it to be grilled), and a veal (veal) schnitzel with sauce of mushrooms. Both dishes came with fries as I understood, although I missed that accompaniment in my steak, I felt somewhat forgotten in that detail! For dessert, we opted for an iced kougelhopf, which looked incredible (I got carried away by the name and its appearance), but in the end its flavor did not live up to the visual expectation. We accompany everything with a green tea and a coffee. In short, the food was good, with some surprises, especially with the filet de boeuf, but it was a pleasant experience, even more so with the friendly attention of the waiter. A nice ending to a day of exploration!
08/09/2024: The food was very well cooked, and special requests such as a hearty starter as dessert were no problem :-) The menu is available in several languages. The service was attentive and courteous.

Aux Armes de Strasbourg

27/01/2025: Family meal in this place that we have known for many years. The cuisine is no longer the same although it is good. It’s a shame not to use Alsatian tableware for this emblematic place in Strasbourg.
25/01/2025: Quality cuisine in a very pleasant setting. The staff is attentive.
