Le Tonnelier sur Orleans

Excellent restaurant, great value for money. The waiter was pleasant and attentive. We highly recommend it.

A pleasant, inviting dining room, as was the service. Where things fall apart is on the plate. Beautiful promises without much flavor. Bland! Morel sauce: I'm a fan of this mushroom and personally enjoy these pairings… And it was cold! Good heavens! Probably no more than 25-30 degrees Celsius. The desserts saved the day.

Several points to note, but not all negative. First, the table at the back right, near the window and the air vent, was freezing. The white pudding starter was good, the leek ravioli were good but not very generous. The venison was much too overcooked and served with undercooked Brussels sprouts. The sweetbreads were poorly trimmed, and the dish as a whole was rather bland. The desserts were acceptable. We had a rather average meal, trying to keep warm. (We had warned the waiter.)

A great place to stay in Orléans, and a great discovery. The dishes are very good, the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, and the staff is very kind and helpful. We had a great time.

A superb discovery. A very nice little restaurant. The food is EXCELLENT. Very good value for money. We had the restaurant all to ourselves...a luxury. The staff is pleasant and attentive. We will be back.
