Le Touareg sur Lyon

Not a bad restaurant, a little expensive for what it is as other people have pointed out in the comments but we liked it. The service was good for us, we were served quite quickly Only downside, we were misled by the name, we thought it was a restaurant that made typical Tuareg dishes but no, it's a Moroccan restaurant...so we don't really understand what the connection is between the name and the specialties offered, since historically the Tuareg is not an ethnic group from Morocco

Very warm and tastefully decorated place! The food is quite good… some dishes much better than others. Small downside on the service… one of the servers is adorable and the other much less so. Be sure of your choice when you order and avoid questions, it annoys him…. And don’t wait for a good appetite!

For me, if there is a cuisine that is synonymous with generosity, it is oriental cuisine. So last week, I finally tried this restaurant that I had had my eye on for a while! 🦁 First, we had plates of bricks to share, we tasted beef, vegetarian and tuna (in my order of preference), then everyone had couscous except me who had a vegetable and kofta tagine 🤤 We had a great time and we even had more room to taste their oriental pastries, but we finished the meal with a good Moroccan tea! On the menu, you will find: - Starters: Hummus, tabbouleh, bricks, Chorba and Harira - Dishes: Couscous, Tagines, Pastilla, Mechoui - Desserts: Pastries, fromage blanc, Moroccan tea 💸 Price-wise, you should count on around €10-15 per starter, I advise you to take starters to share as the dishes are still very generous. For dishes, between 20-25€ and desserts between 7-8€ A good spot in a beautiful building in old Lyon to disguise good cuisine, prepared with love, with recognizable flavors and aromas: the mixture of sweet/salty, spices, aromatic herbs, the smell of flower orange tree and mint 🌱 @petitguidelyonnais 🦁

We were there yesterday for the breaking of the fast.. and everything was super succulent: from the Lben with dates, the Hrira, brick, the Tuareg tagine to the little cakes and the sorbet in a citrus juice 😍😍😍 I know this restaurant for 12 years… and it’s really nice to see that they have managed to maintain the quality and great service!!

Very good experience at the restaurant, I was there for Iftar with a friend of Swiss origin who liked the atmosphere. Thanks to Ferhat for his warm welcome and service

Excellent food and impeccable service

The food was really good! The wine was okay, nothing too fancy. The atmosphere was very good, except from a man that was dressed up to make the athmosphere more “authentic” but it just looked like a western fetish. It was a bit sad to see. Anyways the place was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious, full of flavors and colors. I would go back and I would recommend.
