Cadre sympa, cuisine française, serveur pro et agréable. Toutefois un peu cher et plats manquant un peu de peps. Les ris de veau un poil trop cuit, raie parfaite. Bon malgré tout.

The restaurant is in the center of the town, in an old house on a charming street. Awesome food, including a menu adapted for kids, that allow them discover fine dinning tastes. Employees that are very nice and kind. My son forgot a hat when we left and they even ran after us to return the hat. The only downside is that they don't have A.C. and during summer heatwaves it is very hot inside.

Very warm welcome, excellent meal well presented with products from Eure et Loir. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about their product. Very good and beautiful restaurant

17/09/2024: I was desperately looking for a pub in Chartres, but a REAL one! I was looking for a decor, an atmosphere and of course: the menu that goes with it. Finally I found it after many fruitless and disappointing searches. The Ellan-Vannin is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The atmosphere and decor reminds me of certain old school London pubs where I had my habits, woodwork and posters glorifying what the occupants like. What can I say about the menu... First time I've seen draft Guinness in Chartres, I'm in heaven, and a myriad of Whiskeys, I've arrived in paradise! The boss welcomed me like a genuine man, you can believe that he is not smiling but his heart shows through as the conversation progresses. Should I say an “ancient host”? (Be careful, in my words this is one of the greatest compliments). I love everything about this pub, without having tasted their food yet (but I couldn't resist posting my opinion already) I saw the nibbles they served, it's made with love and that to looks delicious! I FINALLY found it and I can't wait to go back! A new regular.
12/08/2024: One of our favorite bars! The atmosphere is cool, the choice of drinks is vast and the team is top notch! Not to mention the most significant: the chef's cuisine.
