We chose oysters, abalone fricassee, prawn risotto, lemon tart, and Breton far. Everything was excellent, bursting with flavor. However, the service was nowhere near as good as the food, which seems to stem from a management issue. There were no explanations given about the dishes. The €4 coffee with an undercooked petit four that we had to wait for was indeed excessive. What a shame!

Having received a Smartbox gift voucher, but missing the code, we were greeted very kindly by the owner, who went out of his way to help. He couldn't quite get it, but his friendliness convinced us to stay. We loved the excellent cuisine, the service from the two lovely apprentices, and the ambiance. A gourmet restaurant, inventive yet unpretentious. Prices reflect this... we will definitely be back.

Le Troquet restaurant in Cancale. A very good experience at this restaurant. We came with a Smartbox voucher and were very warmly welcomed. The seafood menus were excellent, both in presentation and taste. Our son even had a children's menu (not on the regular menu), which was excellent. Highly recommended.
