Le Val en Cygnes sur Valenciennes

I ate mussels and fries, I would have preferred to have my maroilles sauce on top of the mussels or on the side. But it was good and the staff were friendly, plus the price was very reasonable. I recommend!

It's a restaurant that I discovered yesterday, but my godson knew. The staff were very pleasant, they put absolutely no pressure on us to order while my niece who was bringing her mother for a birthday surprise took 45 minutes to arrive. I had a trio of Welsh goat's cheese, cheddar and maroilles. And for dessert the gourmet coffee which consisted of a slice of hot brioche, a scoop of lemon ice cream, on the other hand the fruit flan was much less appealing to me. I should have taken photos to publish them for you but I didn't think of it, it's a shame I'm not yet sufficiently used to it.

Great little estaminet that is worth the detour. Very friendly waitress, a great welcome and we were served quickly. Very hearty and succulent dishes! Don't hesitate to go there

Came with family (5), very warm welcome. The menu is rich, many dishes from the “North” which are well made. The prices are very fair. Just a tiny downside for the back room which has no windows and is quite dark. Otherwise you can go there with your eyes closed.

This small, cosy neighbourhood restaurant is a good place to sample Nord-Pas de Calais regional dishes. We had the Carbonade Flamande and Andouillette, both meats locally sourced. The Andouillette was top quality with a lovely crispy outside and juicy offal inside. There is beer from local craft breweries and a fair choice of wines.
