I enjoyed dining on the terrace at the Logis Hotel Restaurant Le Vendangerot in (F-71 150) Rully, Burgundy. The outdoor terrace is very pleasant with a view of Place Sainte-Marie. It's the central square of the village.
Following my visit in September 2025, I can give you a complete overview of the Logis Hotel Restaurant Le Vendangerot in (F-71 150) Rully, including everything you need to know:
Location & Address:
The official address is: 6 Place Sainte-Marie, 71150 Rully, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy.
GPS coordinates: approximately 46.8757, -4.7393.
Le Vendangerot is located in the heart of the wine-growing village of Rully, on a lively central square, close to an English-style public garden.
Setting, Interior/Atmosphere:
The establishment is a bourgeois house from the early 20th century.
The decor is described as "minimalist and a touch retro" in the rooms, and more traditional in the dining room.
Interior ambiance: elegant but not overly pretentious. Tablecloths are laid, the dining room is fairly classic, and the setting is rather "Burgundian."
Although located in the center, the place is quiet.
Outdoor Terrace & View:
There is a terrace in front of the establishment that guests enjoy on sunny days. It is located on Place Sainte-Marie, allowing for lunch/dinner al fresco in the heart of the village.
The terrace is large and sheltered.
The view from the terrace overlooks the (at times) very lively central square, the village, the neighboring public garden, and typical buildings. It is not a panoramic view of the vineyards.
What I liked about my visit:
The quality of the cuisine: fresh produce, well-prepared dishes, a "semi-gastronomic" and refined cuisine.
The service: pleasant, welcoming staff.
The value for money is quite good, especially considering the quality of the food.
The peace and quiet, despite the central location.
The charm of the place, its proximity to the vineyards, and the fact that it's in a wine-growing village.
Specialties & Menu:
Here's what you'll find on the menu, examples:
Starters/appetizers: semi-cooked foie gras terrine, red berry jelly; Burgundy parsley ham; etc.
Main courses: fish of the day (depending on availability) with green curry sauce and coconut milk, yellow chicken supreme with chorizo sauce, pan-fried scallops, Charolais beef fillet with Époisses sauce, etc.
Desserts: "Le Rullyotin" (praline feuilletine biscuit, dark chocolate cream, vanilla ice cream), Citrus (lime crumble, orange/grapefruit segments, etc.), banana and passion fruit tiramisu, cheese platter, etc.
Cuisine: A blend of land and sea, with occasional exotic touches (coconut sauce, green curry) alongside Burgundian classics.
Wine Cellar & Recommendations:
The wine list is a strong point. The establishment offers an excellent selection of wines, including wines from Rully and the surrounding area.
The cuisine is rather refined, with an impressive and irresistible wine cellar, rich in wines from Rully and the surrounding area.
The server's recommendations for Rully wines are insightful, with consistent suggestions for the dishes.
Prices:
Lunch set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) ~ €19.50
Dinner menus between €35 and €56 depending on the menu chosen.
Children's Menu ~ €15 €
A la carte / individual dishes: Main courses cost around €26-28 for adults.
Hotel / rooms:
The rooms are simple, minimalist, and comfortable, but not luxurious.
A few drawbacks: steep stairs (especially on the upper floors), modest amenities, and some bathrooms and furniture are aging.
The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.
I recommend going to the Vendangerot restaurant in (F-71 150) Rully to enjoy, among other things, a good bottle of Rully red or white.
I've attached some photos and videos. Please add a smiley face, a thumbs-up, a heart, or something else, under the review and photos to encourage me in my efforts. It's always nice to receive kind feedback.
Enjoy your visit. Best regards, Éric Tison F-57 Féy (Metz, Moselle, France).

The room we were given was quite small, there was a hole in the duvet, and everything was very dated and a bit old. The highlight was the €12 breakfast: two slices of baguette from the fridge, a little jam, and that's it. As for the hotel, I feel really ripped off.
