I thoroughly enjoyed dining on the terrace at the Logis Hotel Restaurant Le Vendangerot in Rully (71150), Burgundy. The outdoor terrace is very pleasant, overlooking Place Sainte-Marie, the village's central square.
Following my visit in September 2025, I can provide you with a complete overview of the Logis Hotel Restaurant Le Vendangerot in Rully (71150), including everything you might want to know:
Location & Address:
The official address is: 6 Place Sainte-Marie, 71150 Rully, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy.
GPS coordinates: approximately 46.8757, -4.7393.
Le Vendangerot is located in the heart of the wine-growing village of Rully, on a lively central square, near an English-style public garden.
Setting, Interior/Atmosphere:
The establishment is a bourgeois house dating from the early 20th century.
The decor is described as "minimalist and slightly retro" in the rooms, and more traditional in the restaurant.
Interior atmosphere: elegant but not overly pretentious. Tablecloths, a fairly classic dining room, and a rather "Burgundian" feel.
Although right in the center of town, the place is quiet.
Outdoor Terrace & View:
There is a terrace in front of the establishment that guests enjoy on sunny days. It is located on Place Sainte-Marie, allowing for al fresco lunch or dinner in the heart of the village.
The terrace is large and sheltered.
The view from the terrace overlooks the lively (sometimes) central square, the village, the neighboring public garden, and typical buildings. It is not a panoramic view of the vineyards.
What I enjoyed during my visit:
The quality of the food: fresh ingredients, well-prepared dishes, a refined, semi-gastronomic style.
The service: pleasant, welcoming staff.
The value for money is quite good, especially considering the quality of the food.
The peaceful atmosphere, despite its central location.
The charm of the place, its proximity to the vineyards, and the fact that it's in a wine-growing village.
Specialties & Menu:
Here's what you'll find on the menu, for example:
Starters/Appetizers: semi-cooked foie gras terrine with red fruit jelly; Burgundy parsley ham; etc.
Main Courses: fish of the day (depending on availability) with green curry and coconut milk sauce, free-range chicken supreme with chorizo sauce, pan-seared scallops, Charolais beef fillet with Époisses sauce, etc.
Desserts: "Le Rullyotin" (praline feuilletine biscuit with chocolate cream). Black chocolate, vanilla ice cream), the Citrus (lime crumble, orange/grapefruit supremes, etc.), banana & passion fruit tiramisu, cheese platter, etc.
Cuisine style: a blend of land and sea, with occasional exotic touches (coconut sauce, green curry) alongside Burgundian classics.
Wine cellar & recommendations:
The wine list is a highlight. The establishment offers an excellent selection of wines, including wines from Rully and the surrounding area.
The cuisine is quite refined, with an impressive and irresistible wine cellar, rich in wines from Rully and the surrounding region.
The waiter's recommendations for Rully wines are insightful, with suggestions that complement the dishes.
Prices:
Lunch set menu (starter-main course-dessert) ~ €19.50
Dinner menus between €35 and €56 depending on the menu chosen.
Children's menu ~ €15
À la carte / Individual meals: Main courses are priced around €26-28 per adult.
Hotel/Rooms:
The rooms are simple, minimalist, and comfortable, but not luxurious.
Some drawbacks: steep stairs (especially to the upper floors), basic amenities, and some bathrooms or furniture are outdated.
The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.
I recommend visiting the Vendangerot restaurant in Rully (F-71150) to enjoy, among other things, a good bottle of Rully red or white wine.
I have attached some photos and videos. Please leave a smiley face, a "bravo," a heart, or something similar under the review and photos to encourage me. It's always nice to receive positive feedback.
Enjoy your visit. Best regards, Eric Tison, F-57 Féy (Metz, Moselle, France).

The room we were given was quite small, there was a hole in the duvet, and it is all very dated and a bit old. The absolute low point was the breakfast at 12 euros per person: two pieces of baguette from the fridge, a little jam, and that was about it. As for the hotel, I feel completely ripped off.
