Le Vidocq sur Arras

We ordered takeout. €30 for two pizzas, they weren't sliced, and the toppings were frankly stingy. At €15 a pizza, I expect a decent amount of toppings. We ordered goat cheese and honey, and Bolognese and cheddar. The goat cheese was mainly in the center of the pizza, and you could barely taste the honey. The Bolognese and cheddar were the same; there was hardly any Bolognese sauce, just a few balls scattered across the entire pizza. For the price, I think it's a shame, especially since they weren't bad, but honestly, for the same price, I've eaten much better elsewhere. The service, however, was warm and friendly, no complaints there. This iconic Arras pizzeria had been recommended to me, but I won't be going back.

While in Arras for the Fête de la Musique with a friend, we stopped several times at Le Vidocq for a drink. We received a very warm welcome throughout the evening. The staff were pleasant, smiling, and attentive despite the crowds due to the event. A special mention goes to the owner who kindly offered us our last drink on the house. This gesture was completely unexpected and ended the evening on a very pleasant note. Based on our experience, we don't agree with some of the negative reviews we've read. We found the team to be both welcoming and professional. Thank you all, and we look forward to returning!

We've been going to this pizzeria for several years through my in-laws, who have been loyal customers for over 20 years. The quality of the pizzas and other dishes is always excellent, which is why we came back regularly. However, our last experience was disappointing. While we were sitting at a table together, the owner interrupted my father-in-law to criticize him for a comment she had overheard or interpreted as inappropriate. Her intervention seemed unjustified and condescending. There were six of us who shared this feeling of discomfort. It's a shame because the quality of the food doesn't always make up for the lack of consideration customers sometimes experience. After this experience, we won't be returning.

An excellent place, wood-fired pizzas, generously topped and full of flavor. Homemade desserts. The welcome is warm and the atmosphere very pleasant.

Very good pizza and the dessert trio wasn't bad either.

Unbeatable value for money, the dishes are exceptional, all the staff are kind, pleasant and attentive, a very good address, it's the best Italian in Arras
