Le Viet Nam sur Brioude

We had a wonderful time as a group of four, and I'm so glad I changed my mind about this restaurant. I have to give a special mention to the hakao, which were truly delicious, as were the shrimp dumplings, and the desserts like the banana and apple fritters. However, I'm not a big fan of the caramel pork. The sauce was good, and the onions were too, but the quality of the meat was just average. In the evening, the service was smooth, and our young waitress, though new to the job, was very kind. Thank you for her warm welcome. The €19.50 set menu is good. We'll be back; for Brioude, that's already quite an achievement. One small bonus: before, we couldn't pay by credit card, but now we can. No more need to withdraw cash before coming, finally!

In the old town. Large parking lot 600 meters away. Pleasant welcome, but we were disappointed that the main course only included the side dish, making it around 16 or 18 euros, a bit pricey. The Peking duck sauce was too sweet for our taste. The soup was excellent.

We had a wonderful time at Le Vietnam restaurant. The charm works its magic even before you step inside, nestled in the winding streets of Brioude's old town. The restaurant itself appears, tiny and peaceful. It's like a haven of tranquility and serenity. You feel comfortable there, and as soon as you cross the threshold, you want to stay and linger. The service is very warm and attentive to everyone's well-being. The pork dumplings I ordered as a starter were excellent, flavorful, and very likely homemade. The Peking duck was particularly well done: far from those Peking ducks that resemble overcooked meat covered in industrial caramel, it was delicious, served slightly pink, and topped with a subtly herbaceous sauce. In short, it was a wonderful experience for us from beginning to end.

What a wonderful discovery during our visit to Brioude! This restaurant is a gem. The food is delicious, made with high-quality ingredients. What struck us most was the love that goes into every dish. The atmosphere in the restaurant is peaceful and pleasant, reflecting the dedication and care of this family of restaurateurs; you feel right at home.
