31/05/2026: A Comedy Pipeline in Close Quarters. Since New Year’s Eve 1990, Le Nombril du Monde has treated comedy as material to be made, tested and sharpened in small rooms. Its resident troupe makes the process visible: performers may welcome the public, serve drinks, then step onto the stage. Courses added in 1995 extended the route into training, with Thierry Buenafuente shaping Lyon comedians and Florence Foresti its best-known early outcome. Selection also passes through audiences. In À vous de jouer !, artists presented short extracts, viewers voted and commented, and winners could enter the following season’s programme. Class, room, bar and audience sit close together here, so a comic idea can be tested in public and earn its place on the programme.

14/08/2026: We ate there with a group of 10 people, including children. The welcome was warm and very friendly. The staff were smiling, pleasant, and accommodating. The food was generous and full of flavor. Truly excellent. The sparkling wine tasting was superb! Thank you for this wonderful experience.

26/09/2026: This is the second time we've tried to eat there, and both times we haven't been able to get anything to eat! The waiter (who's acting like the chef) clearly doesn't want to lift a finger and is just spouting nonsense 🤣🤣🤣 He claims there are 15 people who have been waiting for their food for a while, but I only see maybe 6?!? And he won't serve us until the reservations (which will probably arrive in an hour) are served… so he doesn't even bother to take a drink order so we can decide if we want to wait. This guy just doesn't want to put in the effort… It's a shame for the owner, who is clearly putting his all into the kitchen, and he's the only one!

15/09/2026: Warm welcome and atmosphere, local beers. I wanted to stay all afternoon! Delicious goat cheese. Book ahead to avoid disappointment!

16/09/2026: Friendly, good and simple, but note that there's no all-you-can-eat buffet like in most truck stops.

05/09/2026: A simple but very welcoming restaurant with simple but well-prepared food. The waitress was lovely and attentive to her customers' well-being. Very reasonable prices. Perhaps a touch of modernity would make it even more appealing. In any case, we had a great meal! Thank you to the whole team. We'll be back if the opportunity arises.

12/09/2026: We arrived at 8:30 pm and were accepted for dinner, but with a choice of only five galettes. The service was adequate. Coming from Brittany, we found the galettes bland (not much buckwheat flavor).
