It’s a shame that the roasted Camembert lacked heat and that the service was long. The atmosphere is good and the setting is pretty but not easy to park.

Long wait (almost 1 hour) for us to come and offer an aperitif and take an order… very fast service after that. Lack of presence of waiters and waitresses. Be careful with the "all you can eat" formula, because there is no choice of cold meats, they bring back a plate composed of several kinds of cold meats but if we don't like one kind, we cannot ask for more cold meats until that the plate is not finished… according to the “law” according to the waitress… Too bad not to have a spatula for the cheese. Also, once "charcuterie finished" we were able to be re-served but disproportionate quantities... more potatoes and charcuterie than in the first service... I told the waiter that it was a shame to waste like that, and that 'they would be better off asking the customers rather than messing up so much, he replied "oh well yes it doesn't matter"... Shocking and contradictory compared to his colleague... Finally, the parking lot is in a deplorable state: lots of holes filled with water in this weather, so there is a big risk of falling and getting dirty! Really a shame because the food is good! ❌ Mixed on this opinion. It was the second time I came and I don’t think I’ll come back a third because I’m disappointed…

I was disappointed, due to a lack of staff, the service was slow and the dishes were not cooked properly. However, the server was very pleasant and did his job very well. I so miss the old chime from a few years ago...

Mixed... it's very good. We came there twice. The first time the service was lousy! 2h30 for starter + main course. The food was good but we abandoned the idea of ​​a dessert... The second time, it was much better. We'll see about the third one...

Old-fashioned 70s mountain chalet atmosphere that has not been able to evolve. Poorly trained staff doing what they can. Good food but high prices.

We had dinner at the Vieux Carillon last Friday, February 16 and it was superb! In terms of atmosphere, we find the smell of the old chalets of our childhoods in the mountains, the cramped toilets for some nevertheless demonstrate a traditional simplicity for us, and a slight current of air in the room helps clear the smoke from the room. wood fire and mixing all these superimposed smells: it's essential to avoid having a headache in less than ten minutes and they understood it! Concerning the staff, they were very attentive, very friendly and available. The whole team was pleasant and smiling. The service is certainly a little long, but the quality of the dish is there and the chatting between friends helps the time move forward! In terms of dishes now, the starter with reblochon and diots de Savoie was perfect, then the roasted camembert delicious. The fondue for one person was plentiful and of good quality, both for the cold cuts and the potatoes (often underestimated, they were as tender as possible!). For the meat, nothing to complain about, the beef fillet melted in the mouth, it was divine and the cooking was superb (a masterful blue/rare). What can we say about the desserts, we had a generous Irish coffee, ice cream and an absolutely INCREDIBLE brioche, I will come back just for it: two thick and honeycombed slices, grilled but melting, with an aftertaste of orange and cream very light English. For the prices, it's clearly not free but they remain affordable and are largely justified in my opinion, especially when we compare to certain restaurants in Baule that are overpriced and for no reason given their dishes and their service... There is only one significant black spot in the middle of all this: the bread. A good country bread would be a real cherry on the cake to replace these “supermarket baguettes” which unfortunately aren’t very tasty...
