This is my second night at Le Vieux Tonneau and I'm not disappointed! The food is a bit pricey but truly excellent, they have a great selection of drinks, and above all, the atmosphere is fantastic with the live music they offer. The bar is definitely worth a visit!

A sure bet in Aix-en-Provence! It's one of my favorite places to have a drink (or more) and a meal! The staff is fantastic: welcoming, relaxed, smiling, and always ready to help you choose the best wines.

Fantastic bar-restaurant, so friendly! The service is top-notch: quick, pleasant, and efficient. Everything is fresh and homemade; you can really taste the difference. I'm usually quite picky when it comes to raw food, especially salmon, but I was pleasantly surprised: the salmon tartare with avocado was absolutely delicious. A wonderful discovery; I highly recommend this place. Everything was perfect! 👌✨

One of my favorite wine bars! The tapas are always delicious and the menu changes regularly. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the location is perfect for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thomas is a great source of advice for those who can't decide what to order. 🍷 A fantastic spot for all kinds of evenings: romantic get-togethers, nights out with friends, birthdays, and more. Tried and tested many times and always a winner.

La Tomate Verte

19/08/2026: We had a truly excellent meal at La Tomate Verte restaurant. It tasted like home cooking, better than anything we'd make at home! The prices were also generally more reasonable than other restaurants in the area, while still maintaining superb quality. We were delighted with this little restaurant!
18/08/2026: A very good restaurant in Aix with modern and some regional dishes. The ingredients are fresh and not frozen, which is unfortunately often the case – especially in the more affordable price range. The prices are reasonable, and the service is very friendly and pleasant. No one puts any pressure on you if the meal takes a while and you chat a lot. All in all, a great experience, and a return visit is definitely planned. On my second visit – also at lunchtime – the main courses were very tasty, although the appetizer (zucchini carpaccio) was a bit unimaginative. It was a shame that it wasn't possible to get ice cubes for the tap water on a very hot day. Apparently, they were only available with paid drinks.

22/08/2026: An idyllic setting, excellent cuisine, and superb service. A truly wonderful place to eat in Aix.
20/08/2026: Superb food, delicious place, unique service. We showed up without a reservation, but they still found us a spot. The fish and cassoulet were delicious, not to mention the tarte tatin. Everything was homemade by the lovely chef, who even gave me a little gift of her own making—unforgettable!
