Le Village sur Marly-Le-Roi

A very pleasant surprise. Refined and delicious dishes, perfectly paired wines, everything is beautiful and bursts with flavor! A slight preference for the earthy dishes.

For our first visit, it was a true discovery, hidden behind a gray inn-like facade on a pedestrian street in the village of Marly-le-Roi. Excellent Franco-Japanese fusion cuisine. Subtle and surprising flavors, perfect presentation in vibrant colors, hint at the artistic talent of the passionate chef, Tomohiro Uido. The attentive service is worthy of a 3-star establishment. Having the menus chosen in advance allows for a well-paced service. For those with a hearty appetite, opt for the 10-course menu. We wonder why this restaurant hasn't yet earned another star. We're not familiar with the Michelin Guide's criteria, but we suspect that perhaps the simple (but cozy) setting is what's preventing it from receiving a second star... An experience to be repeated, without a doubt!

The chef's Japanese influence brings a new dimension to the flavors of the dishes. This is our second time dining here; the first time we opted for the six-course menu, and upon leaving, we were left wanting more, eager to continue exploring these flavors. We returned with the ten-course menu and were able to fully appreciate the refinement of this cuisine. The service is very professional, with a pleasant and attentive warmth. We purchased their smoked butter, a delicacy that prolongs the memory of this wonderful evening.

Excellent discovery! Refined cuisine and a warm welcome

We had the pleasure of returning for our wedding anniversary, five years after our first experience. The staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout the evening, and they also provided excellent advice on how to enjoy this unique moment. It's always a dazzling experience and a true culinary journey. 😃 And it's always a great pleasure to chat with Chef Tomohiro after the meal. 🙏🏻

A wonderful experience and cuisine that takes you on a journey. Very friendly and attentive service. I recommend this establishment for its cuisine, which introduces you to unique and highly original flavors. Bravo to the chef and his entire team. One thing I did regret, however, was the owner's outburst and hysteria during service toward one of her kitchen staff, which dampened our first experience at this establishment. Not very friendly and especially not pleasant. Perhaps it was an off-day... Too bad.

Very good experience, refined and innovative cuisine

The food is well-prepared, tasty, and beautifully presented. We were expecting more Japanese flavors, but everything was very good. Special mention goes to the Sakura sorbet for dessert and the Munster bao. The service is attentive; the waitress who served us was very pleasant and knew the dishes inside and out. The restaurant is comfortable and a departure from Michelin-starred restaurants, as it's rather classic in terms of decor. Be aware that the restrooms are upstairs, and the staircase isn't the most convenient. One small drawback regarding the atmosphere that day was that the kitchen was told off by the owner even though the door between the kitchen and the dining room was open. We were seated right across the hall... A certainly unusual event. Total for two 7-course Tomohiro menus + two glasses of wine + one sake = €280 Impressive value for money.

Incredible culinary experience! Everything is excellent, the service, the food...the best fish of my life! And as a bonus, the chef's greetings at the end of the dinner. We loved it, I highly recommend it.
