Pleasant restaurant, extensive menu, the flank steak was excellent! Our waiter this evening, who took such good care of us (dressed all in black), was excellent and attentive!

Nice setting for after-work drinks. The sharing menu is a great option. The only downside was that we ordered red wine which was warm.

First time at Riva tonight! The all-you-can-eat hanger steak was excellent, served with sauces and paprika fries. The tapas were just as good... especially the homemade ones. Max gave us an impeccable welcome; he was smiling, pleasant, and available throughout the evening. Thank you to Max and the chef!

A good place to eat. Simple and delicious food. The dishes were high quality, the meat was nicely grilled, the fish perfectly cooked, and the fries excellent. I mustn't forget the very good homemade desserts. The service was good, although we waited a while to be served; they were probably short-staffed, so I won't hold it against them too much. With their selection of tapas, it's also a good place for an evening with friends.

20/05/2026: - Food was okay, edible. - Service was very good. - The ambiance was great, but the tables could have used more space between them. It felt like you were sitting right next to other guests at the same table.
06/04/2026: The food was okay overall. We ordered the children's menu twice, both times with sausages (unfortunately rather tasteless) and fries 🍟, plus an ice cream. We also ordered a cheese tart, which was alright. The veal schnitzel with fries wasn't bad either. The waiters were quite stressed, as there were only two of them to do everything. Despite this, they tried their best to remain helpful and friendly. Overall, we found the prices rather high for what you get.

Golden Gate Bar Café

06/06/2026: A lovely bar in the pedestrian zone. Very attentive and friendly staff. We felt very comfortable there 😍☀️
03/04/2026: A simple and truly enjoyable moment at the Golden Gate in Strasbourg. I wanted to enjoy the terrace, but there were no seats available. I timidly asked if a chair was free, then if I could share a table… and I came across a very kind person who accepted without hesitation. He spoke German, I used the few words I knew, and in the end, we had a lovely little conversation, spontaneous and warm. A coffee break just the way we like them, full of simplicity and unexpected encounters. The service, from what I could see, was in the same spirit: smiling, approachable, and pleasant. A beautiful place, not just for a coffee, but also for experiencing a little human connection.
