A wonderful discovery for us. Impeccable service and a very attentive waiter. High-quality, refined cuisine featuring local products. The house-smoked salmon was excellent. A generous dessert. Special mention for the pianist, who made the meal truly delightful.

A very pleasant atmosphere for this Valentine's Day evening with a pianist... High-quality cuisine (with a special mention for the vanilla crème brûlée with caramelized clementine...to die for!) and quality wines (sparkling wine and white wine)... We have already been and will return!

It's Valentine's Day! The goal today isn't to seduce someone to seal the deal, to turn into a young rake, but to celebrate our love after more than fifty years together. So, no messing around: let's go to a master chef, let's spend a romantic evening serenaded by piano music, let's go to GU. We made a reservation online ten days before the evening to secure a shared table. Three large ice cubes in our already chilled tomato juice accompany an amuse-bouche (?) in the form of two ridiculous little verrines whose containers are perplexing. The starter, "Gratin of Scallops from the Boulogne Boat," is more like a boat, with a very pronounced mushroom flavor that overpowers the taste of the scallop. The dark brown edges of the plate are evidence of a dish that has been reheated. This starter, however, is not. Delicious foie gras, but unfortunately, we couldn't share it to compensate because there was only one slice of toast. The fish and sauerkraut were cooked perfectly. For dessert, the crepes were difficult to eat with a spoon and therefore not very tasty. The crème brûlée, however, wasn't finished. As you can see, there's no love affair between us and GU, and it won't last.

Everything was excellent at this very pleasant establishment: the ambiance, the decor, the table service... This was our third visit, and we were still amazed by the delicious food! A special thank you to the chef who demonstrates his expertise. We will definitely be back.

A real gem! Having recently moved to the area, we discovered this fantastic restaurant! We had an absolutely delightful time. The food is simply incredible: flavorful dishes, perfectly executed, with high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a pleasure. We ate incredibly well from start to finish, and all at an exceptional price. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!

Excellent experience, cuisine worthy of a master chef, you will not be disappointed eating at this restaurant, a big bravo!

It must not have been a good day for the Chef! Cold welcome, appalling service... no change of cutlery between the smoked fish and meat dishes! The same glass for both white and red wine... and so on! And what about the food? We didn't feel any generosity in the portions or the glasses. A small amuse-bouche served with the Kir as an aperitif would have been welcome, but there was nothing... not even a small chocolate with the coffee. These little things, which shouldn't inflate the cost of a menu, can make all the difference in how we appreciate the experience. We expect something different when we walk into this kind of restaurant... it's to experience a pleasure that makes you want to come back. I'm sorry, but that wasn't the case at all. Very disappointed. Especially since we were a group of 21 people and our visit was planned, so there were no surprises regarding the food due to the advance booking. What happened? Because if we believe the other comments?...

We had a wonderful time at [Gu]. The food is excellent and the service is friendly... The value for money is unbeatable. The view of the street is lovely. I highly recommend this place in Hesdin la Forêt.
