The chef once again delighted us with the quality of his dishes and the originality of some of them.
Furthermore, he had the thoughtful touch to offer us some excellent wines, including one from an exceptional vintage.
My friends (from Germany) thoroughly enjoyed their evening in France.

It's Valentine's Day! The goal today isn't to seduce someone to seal the deal, to turn into a young rake, but to celebrate our love after more than fifty years together. So, no messing around: let's go to a master chef, let's spend a romantic evening serenaded by piano music, let's go to GU. We made a reservation online ten days before the evening to secure a shared table. Three large ice cubes in our already chilled tomato juice accompany an amuse-bouche (?) in the form of two ridiculous little verrines whose containers are perplexing. The starter, "Gratin of Scallops from the Boulogne Boat," is more like a boat, with a very pronounced mushroom flavor that overpowers the taste of the scallop. The dark brown edges of the plate are evidence of a dish that has been reheated. This starter, however, is not. Delicious foie gras, but unfortunately, we couldn't share it to compensate because there was only one slice of toast.
The fish and sauerkraut were cooked perfectly.
For dessert, the crepes were difficult to eat with a spoon and therefore not very tasty. The crème brûlée, however,
wasn't finished.
As you can see, there's no love affair between us and GU, and it won't last.

I've tried quite a few restaurants in Hesdin. But I have to say, they've really raised the bar here. It was a delight from beginning to end. Worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. I'll definitely be back.

A truly wonderful culinary experience at this restaurant, which showcases seasonal produce and local producers. The setting is elegant, the dishes refined. A must-try: a Chardonnay made in the Somme region (department 80)...a real gem! Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you again soon to discover your menu as the seasons change.

A very pleasant atmosphere for this Valentine's Day evening with a pianist... High-quality cuisine (with a special mention for the vanilla crème brûlée with caramelized clementine...to die for!) and quality wines (sparkling wine and white wine)... We have already been and will return!

High-quality, refined cuisine featuring local products. The house-smoked salmon was excellent. A generous dessert.
