Lovely family run restaurant. Excellent menu and accompanying wines.

This restaurant is well worth a visit. A little outside the center of Beaune, this establishment offers refined, delicious, and creative cuisine while remaining true to the Burgundian spirit. The staff is charming. I've had the pleasure of going there several times, and my enthusiasm remains undiminished. I don't often post reviews, but I felt it was important to share these positive experiences.

A superb meal, excellent starter (veal), and the main course was also very well-prepared and delicious (guinea fowl supreme). The dessert was exceptional, nothing to add! The sauces were all superb as well, and the wines were very well-chosen, even the entry-level ones.

Excellent service, with a smile. Delicious, carefully prepared dishes with wonderful flavors. And at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.

Bold, Creative Cuisine with Serious Character - A Must-Visit in Beaune! Discovered L'Ecusson during a week of professional wine tasting in Burgundy, and what a find! It's slightly outside Beaune's center, but the walk is perfect for building your appetite. The restaurant has a strikingly modern aesthetic with uniform tones and a clear commitment to ultra-stylish tableware and cutlery - every detail is intentional. The service duo had very different personalities, which actually added an interesting dynamic to the evening. But here's what made this dinner truly special: I discovered a chef with a genuine, distinctive voice. Every single dish was a delight! The sauces, gels, and emulsions are so incredibly good - original, punchy, and bursting with flavor - that they nearly steal the show from the main ingredients (and I mean that as the highest compliment). The bread is also excellent, which matters tremendously when you're a sauce-mopper like me who refuses to waste a single drop of those magnificent creations! My only minor disappointment was the wine-by-the-glass pairings, but that's the trade-off for keeping the bill reasonable in this wine-rich region. Plus, the dishes themselves have such powerful, complex flavor profiles that they're genuinely challenging to complement. If you're looking for cuisine with real personality served in an equally distinctive setting, L'Ecusson is your place. This is creative, bold cooking that stands out even in Burgundy's crowded gastronomic scene!

Excellent food! And the owners are super friendly. However, a small plate of fries or rice on the side wouldn't go amiss. A wider selection of desserts would also be great, such as fruit salads, gourmet coffees, apple tarts... but ultimately, the food is delicious, which is the most important thing.

Almost half an hour passed between the warm welcome and the aperitif; the organization could still be improved, but the meal was excellent. We recommend the restaurant.
