L'Emile Brochettes sur Chalon-Sur-Saone

A lovely time at this restaurant where you're greeted with a smile. The food is excellent and beautifully presented. The waitstaff is quick, efficient, and friendly. A great find.

We ate at L'Emile Brochettes, located on Place de Beaune in the center of Chalon-sur-Saône. The restaurant has a terrace overlooking the square as well as a patio. Inside, the very large dining room boasts a warm, rustic stone decor. The menu, of course, specializes in kebabs, in a variety of forms. It offers traditional meats like beef or duck breast, but also more original creations such as breaded Camembert kebabs, as well as a truly spectacular hanger steak! We ended up ordering a meat kebab served with a wine sauce, fries, and salad. The presentation was simple, the portions were generous, and the requested level of cooking was achieved. The welcome was pleasant, and the service was efficient. It's a reliable choice, a good restaurant, which, moreover, is open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

From the moment you call, the restaurant seems excellent. The setting, the menus, the wine list are all top-notch. The service is equally impressive. A restaurant not to be missed when visiting Chalon-sur-Saône. Congratulations to the entire team.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. Living near Mâcon, we had booked a table for two, and upon arrival, to everyone's surprise, the restaurant was quite full. We chose the €32 Emile Brochette menu, which included breaded Camembert, hanger steak, and pear tiramisu. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. Even the pears in the tiramisu were fresh, which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed a small Belgian Duvel 666 as an aperitif, and I paired my meal with a glass of Mercurey, which was truly excellent and full-bodied. The wine list is simply amazing and incredible. The waitress was energetic, radiant, and smiling. We were served quickly, which is also a sign of a quality establishment staffed by professionals, unlike many others. We will gladly return to this establishment, but this time we will try their specialty, "la potence de bœuf" (beef spit-roasted), which we saw being passed several times by our table, giving us a rather gruesome wink. I highly recommend this place for food lovers passing through the Chalon-sur-Saône area. Thank you to all the staff, and especially to the bubbly waitress "Julie," who was so cheerful from beginning to end and clearly enjoys her job.
