L'entracte sur Calais

Far from the establishments around the Place d'Armes in Calais, this small restaurant near the theater is a sure bet and won't disappoint. The warm welcome, the cozy atmosphere, the dishes that emphasize homemade quality, the efficient service, the generous portions... it's hard to find a fault with this excellent place. Please note that while the restaurant is open every lunchtime, it is only open for dinner on Saturdays. Reservations are therefore recommended.

Great setting Beautiful decor Friendly service Regarding the meal, there's a good selection. However, I was disappointed with my plate. Very little salad, and the meat was grilled but not cooked medium. There was no mayonnaise to eat with the fries, but they were delicious. For dessert, the menu is extensive and there's plenty of choice. The gourmet coffee was delicious. The price is reasonable for the quality.

Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere!!

A very nice experience, a superb atmosphere, and the table we were given was well-chosen for a group of seven. We had drinks quickly, less than a 5-minute wait. The beer on tap was good, a Castelain 8.5%, I recommend it! We didn't try the starters, but they looked mouthwatering. The main courses were very generous; I had the pink veal liver with homemade mashed potatoes. Everything is homemade, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices, at least eight, including meat, fish, and ABBA (Mamamia Raoum 🎶 🤭). The Irish coffee was good; bring a spoon if you like to eat the whipped cream separately, but it was excellent. The service was friendly and very fast (let them know if you're there to relax and take your time). I recommend it; a great place in Calais Centre compared to the other options nearby.
