The meat was superb, the service impeccable, the welcome friendly, it was packed, teeming with regulars, but what more could you ask for? Oh yes 😉: the "homemade" béarnaise sauce is the only thing that's not quite right, but really... that's just nitpicking... But a real béarnaise is so much better...

We received a very warm welcome at Les Artistes! The food is good and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I recommend it.

Great place, the food is very good and affordable! Quick and friendly service. The manager is rather loud, but kind and quick-witted, which makes the restaurant a bit noisy, but with a relaxed atmosphere (it was quite lively for a Sunday lunchtime!). Due to a reservation issue, our group was eventually moved across the street after our orders had been taken, to a very quiet room with a single large table. We weren't forgotten; everything was handled quickly with regular check-ins.

Incredibly friendly staff, delicious food and drinks. They’re very thoughtful about everything they do! The staff was also very kind and patient with us not being French-speaking. Highly recommend!

17/09/2024: Short menu only in French but the charming staff happily explained. 2 courses 43 euros and 3 is 49 euros. 3 choices of starter, main, dessert and an off-menu starter and main was also offered. A complimentary small cup of complex broth was followed by slices of a good, crusty bread and they were not afraid of offering the heel, my favourite part (but no butter). The lobster starter was +15 euros but impressively soft and fresh. All our dishes were complex and delicious. The mains, unusually, as much as the starters, Courses were free of the long waits between beloved of many french restaurants. One of the best meals of this year, perhaps even several years.
08/09/2024: From start to finish a wonderful experience. We were well looked after by our waiting staff who engaged with us beautifully and warmly . Given we couldn't speak french very well this was very nice. The food was superb and faultlessly executed. The best fish cookery i have experienced. Only negative was the noise level of the restaurant as it filled up and the tables were very close. I understand that is a constraint of the size . In summary food and service fantastic . dix a dix !
