The Artists' Bar... A place I frequented in the late 1980s. The walls were covered with posters of actors, singers, and other celebrities from times gone by. The wall decor is now much more contemporary and offbeat, but the essence remains. And somewhere, a certain nostalgia remains, for that time, for that something in us, for us, that passes, despite our will but... The bartender was pleasant, even friendly. A must-visit bar in Saint-Etienne.

I've known the place for 3 years. I'm more of an afternoon customer. Unfortunately, I just had a bad experience coming after 7 p.m. Of course, the staff has changed since then, between Nana Ninon, and Gabriel is still there, but especially the clientele, between the unclean and the acne-ridden teenagers, the cup is full, especially when you're being bullied. The person at the bar doesn't react and prefers to go smoke a cigarette outside even though she witnessed this incivility. And this young gentleman deigns to answer me. I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything. I'm not talking about sexism or misogyny, but when you're responsible behind a counter, you have to intervene when customers are bickering, but when a woman is verbally assaulted, you don't go out and give away your cigarette, especially since the aggressor comes to ask for approval. So, without defamation, but the person who was there on the evening of Tuesday, September 9, should have reacted. Their cigarette can wait until the end of service.
