The location directly on the canal is definitely one of the highlights, and it is one of the few places in the area where the food is reasonably good. However, the French cuisine was quite underwhelming and did not meet our expectations.
It was still worth visiting, mainly because we wanted to experience the city and had made our reservation well in advance. The service was acceptable, but considering the prices, I expected much more attention to the customers and a higher level of service overall.
A nice location and a pleasant experience, but the food and service did not fully justify the price.

We ate here on a Tuesday evening.
There was a long line in front of the restaurant before it opened, and I thought we'd need a reservation to get in. Luckily, there was still a table available, and we were able to look forward to our meal. The service was incredibly friendly, and we were shown to our table.
We were able to order quickly, and the food arrived promptly. I had a Spätzle casserole with Munster cheese (it tastes similar to Raclette cheese) and bacon, and a green salad. It was absolutely delicious. This was my second time there, and both times it was excellent.
My recommendation and love! 🐰

Located in the heart of the medieval quarter, along the canal next to the Turenne bridge where boats glide among ducks and lush greenery, the restaurant "Les Bateliers" is a marvel for its cuisine and its staff. Sir Clément, the innkeeper in charge of this legendary establishment, and his head waitress, Nadia, always ready to serve, will enchant your lunch or dinner with their cheerful disposition. I recommend this place without hesitation.

The setting was very pretty. The food was decent. A crème brûlée arrived cold, and when I mentioned it, there was no gesture of goodwill or apology. Very disappointed, especially for a birthday.
We won't be back; the restaurants nearby that we tried were much better.
