Les belles pintes sur Bourg-Saint-Maurice

The Wool Socks is our favourite pub in the 1950 village, and we make a point of coming back every time we’re here. Ingrid and Bib are fantastic hosts and always make everyone feel so welcome. The atmosphere is brilliant, the drinks are great, and they even serve proper full pints—which is a rare treat in France! They show all the major sporting events too, making it the perfect place to watch the game with friends. Whether you’re stopping in after a day in the mountains or just fancy a relaxed drink, this place is an absolute must. We can’t wait to come back!

I was at this place with my ski group to socialize!!! The place is beautiful and comfortable. We went around midday! We each had a glass of beer. Very well served! The interior decoration is very beautiful. And I loved the number of taps to choose from!!!

If you are looking for an oasis in the middle of the picture postcard resort of 1950, then look no further than the Wool Socks pub with a lovely Irish feel to it. My pint of Guinness was wonderful and very much deserved after sliding about all day. The team are really friendly and spoke perfect English, although I do try to order in French. The food was fairly priced with a menu to suit most people's requirements. Also there's live music, which will only add to the atmosphere and ambience. Give it a try, as you won't be disappointed.

This woolly pub really pulled the wool over my eyes. I ordered the huge hotdog (I’m morbidly obese) and it turned my friends of 6 years against me as we missed our flight and my nans birthday waiting for this food to come. If you want to order food and eat it on the same day DONT COME HERE. If you want cozy vibes with sexy man on guitar then deffo do come here. Xoxo
