Les Biscuits Joyeux sur Dinard

31/07/2026: Everything was perfect. For €22.90 per person, we enjoyed excellent mussels with Roquefort or curry sauce, served with delicious fries, a chocolate crepe, and a bowl of cider with some savory snacks. The staff was very friendly, the location was right by the sea, and the atmosphere was great. We were very surprised by some of the negative reviews and highly recommend it. There are restrooms next to the restaurant.

16/07/2026: This place is nothing special. A tourist trap of a restaurant on the seafront selling everything you can find everywhere else, only worse. After my experience, I find it hard to believe this place could have been recommended by the Lonely Planet guide for years... The mussels were stale and scrawny, and the marinara sauce was so acidic it was almost unbearable. It makes you wonder if it was all designed to make us run away or throw up. The fried smelt with tartar sauce was okay (it was frozen, after all). This reinforces my belief that you should definitely avoid beach/seaside restaurants. In short, Ecuador is no paradise...
