Les Bistrophiles sur Provins

Incredible! The welcome toasts were a taste of what was to come. The appetizers were delicious. The main courses were exquisite. The sauces... wow! So flavorful. The wine was very good. A must-visit.

While in Provins for the Medieval Festival, we stumbled upon Les Bristrophiles quite by chance, and what a wonderful discovery it was! The welcome was very warm, and we were treated to a delicious amuse-bouche. The dishes were excellent, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special mention goes to the pork tenderloin with its Brie de Provins sauce and parsley potatoes—absolutely incredible—as well as the Brie de Provins served with rose petal jam, a true delight. A truly wonderful restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend. We will gladly return on our next visit to Provins!

Wow! I was blown away. I'd been wanting to go in for a while, and I finally did. A warm welcome and excellent service made for a wonderful romantic evening. We opted for the starter/main course set menu at a very reasonable price. Now we understand the "Routard" (French travel guide) signs at the entrance. Homemade food, and you can taste it. Thank you, Chef! I highly recommend it. Another great feature I appreciated was the option to buy paintings by a local artist.

At first glance, you might think it's just another bistro, with its fairly classic storefront. But once inside, the service and the food are on par with a fine restaurant. A very pleasant surprise, with remarkable quality from start to finish :)

A delightful moment at Le Bistrophiles We received a warm welcome on the terrace of Le Bistrophile restaurant, where we spent a most enjoyable time from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, as a group of three. The complete menu, including a main course, dessert, sparkling water, a bottle of wine, and coffee, delighted our palates. The vegetarian options are particularly well-prepared, and the attentive and friendly service made us feel like royalty in Provins. The cuisine, both indulgent and flavorful, won us over: each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The strawberry puff pastry was simply divine: light and crispy puff pastry, a delicately sweet diplomat cream, and perfectly flavored, wonderfully crisp strawberries. The only slight drawback was the strawberry syrup, which was a little too sweet for my taste, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment at all. The value for money is simply excellent. The icing on the cake is that you can even take home some Provins specialties to extend the experience. The interior, decorated in a 1950s-60s style, adds a touch of charm and nostalgia to the experience. A huge thank you for such a warm welcome, and congratulations to the pastry chef and cook for their talent! We will definitely be back.
