Les Bons Enfants sur Poitiers

While in Poitiers on vacation, I went there twice. I received a warm welcome, and wanting to discover the local cuisine, the manager gave me recommendations whenever I needed them. The food is authentic and high quality. I highly recommend this place, especially for discovering Poitiers' gastronomy!

Great little restaurant!! Delicious, homemade food, and what's more, the prices aren't too high. A must-try, and I'll definitely be back.

I'm not going to beat around the bush: we were disappointed by this restaurant. Mind you, I didn't say bad! I said "disappointed" because of the value for money; you can find (much) better options elsewhere in Poitiers for the same price. And above all, truly disappointed considering all the hype I'd heard about this restaurant. => The duck confit: Undercooked: The meat was difficult to remove from the bone. The seasoning was "meh"... => The duck breast, which was supposed to be "pink": Cooked "rare". You have to like that sort of thing... If you think I'm exaggerating, form your own opinion because the restaurant is at least worth trying. For me, the problem lies solely with the kitchen; there's nothing else that would be a deal-breaker. In any case, we won't be going back and we can't recommend it for the price we paid.

A perfect dinner to end the year! We were lucky enough to be invited at the last minute for New Year's Eve. The atmosphere was festive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and greatly appreciated the warm welcome and service from the owner. Thank you again!

Excellent restaurant: a warm welcome, a slightly old-fashioned decor, and very generous portions of traditional cuisine. I felt like I was in a family home in the countryside! Children are welcome with drawing materials and a special menu featuring real homemade dishes.

We had a very enjoyable meal here in celebration of my 65th birthday. The food was not fancy, but was very well prepared and the portions were huge (pretty much American sized). We both chose options from the prix fixe menus (there were two price levels) and we were both happy. The restaurant is cosy, decorated with photos and paints of children, along with a lot of charming knickknacks. Note, we had reservations, and I am sure they would be necessary.
