Update: May 2026 Under new ownership; a very pleasant experience. Carefully prepared cuisine, good value for money, with a special mention for the foie gras starter. Attentive and gracious service. We recommend it. 2021: Disappointment due to a significant decline. Mediocre quality of the €28.50 set menu. Starter: a salad that was only "gourmet" in name, a slice of foie gras, three thin slices of duck breast, and a tired salad. Main course: a decent trout steak, nothing special, but the potatoes were reheated and barely edible. Dessert: a good tarte tatin (not homemade). Limited wine selection, no Bordeaux or Burgundy, only one white wine. The service was adequate but lacked enthusiasm from the owner. One of the diners experienced immediate intestinal upset after the meal.

I arrived with my partner and we were refused entry, told we were full. I could see that the empty tables didn't have "reserved" signs, so five minutes later I called to reserve a table, and miraculously, there was space. I have no idea why we were refused entry; we are clean, well-groomed, polite, friendly, mixed-race, and young. Putting this unfortunate situation aside, the meal was excellent, with something for everyone and good value for money. The service was ultimately top-notch.

A must-visit when in Luchon. A friendly and attentive team. Excellent cuisine.
