Excellent food and a great atmosphere with a smile!

We sat outside on a baking hot day, which was lovely but not cool! Madame is completely charming but the waitress was surly and unsmiling. Food was pretty good but unremarkable. Drinks were cold which was fabulous! The situation in the square is lovely though. It’s a good stop off in Ruffec.

Generous portions, carefully prepared cuisine. Locally sourced ingredients. Attentive staff. Family-run restaurant. Highly recommended.

The food is as good as the service! With a capital S! 😉 We didn't see the chef, but what talent! Such fresh and skillful "homemade" cuisine, enhanced by top-notch service, a creativity so inspired by... simplicity! Such a lovely moment on this square, this terrace in Ruffec that we were discovering... We highly recommend it! A must-try! From Bretons passing through who went twice in one week!

We had a wonderful evening on the terrace at this restaurant. There was a great selection of dishes, and we were delighted to have everyone's requests catered for. The food was excellent, prepared with local ingredients and beautifully presented. The prices were very reasonable. The service was truly outstanding, thanks mainly to Tema, who is welcoming, smiling, and attentive to the well-being of her customers. We highly recommend it. We will definitely be back!

During a stroll in Ruffec, we discovered this restaurant and it was a very pleasant surprise. A warm welcome, friendly service, and generous portions. We live just a few kilometers away and will gladly return.

We stumbled upon this place while traveling together and received a warm welcome. We enjoyed excellent and very generous portions. The square is lovely, and children can play safely. As for the town hall bell, it signaled that it was time to hit the road again.

Pleasant welcome, good food with good ingredients

Passing through Ruffec on Saturday, July 11th, we chose to have lunch at the restaurant "Les Caprices du Marché". Excellent choice, very warm welcome from the owner, and very good food. We had a very enjoyable and convivial meal. One small but important detail: the restrooms are very clean, which isn't always the case. Wishing all the staff at this establishment a wonderful summer.
