Les Caprices du Marche sur Ruffec

We stumbled upon this place while traveling together and received a warm welcome. We enjoyed excellent and very generous portions. The square is lovely, and children can play safely. As for the town hall bell, it signaled that it was time to hit the road again.

Pleasant welcome, good food with good ingredients

Passing through Ruffec on Saturday, July 11th, we chose to have lunch at the restaurant "Les Caprices du Marché". Excellent choice, very warm welcome from the owner, and very good food. We had a very enjoyable and convivial meal. One small but important detail: the restrooms are very clean, which isn't always the case. Wishing all the staff at this establishment a wonderful summer.

Excellent menu with delicious dishes and fresh ingredients; I'm delighted with my experience at Les Caprices du Marché! I went there Wednesday evening with my mother, and the welcome and service were impeccable, with such kind staff. I highly recommend this little haven of peace during the hottest weather; they also have ice cream! :)

We had a bite to eat here on our last day of vacation; the burgers are delicious and the desserts are very tasty.

This restaurant is always a delight. Between the owner's warm smile, her husband's cooking, the quick service, and the appealing menus, you're never disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Excellent lunch on Saturday, €36 set menu for 4 people: very good value for money, everything was delicious! Warm service, the two ladies were very attentive. The atmosphere was lovely. We'll be back! (Among other things, for the farm egg 😉)

Everything was perfect from the welcome to the dessert. We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
