Les Carrasses sur Quarante

We stayed one night at Château Les Carrasses and overall had a pleasant experience in a beautiful setting. The rooms are very nice and elegant, and the property itself is charming, surrounded by vineyards and offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere. That said, there are a few details that could be improved, especially given the price level. In the room, there was only one bottle of water provided, which felt a bit minimal for a high-end resort. The dinner experience was unfortunately not at the same level as the setting. The service was quite uncoordinated, and despite having a set menu, the pace was very slow. We also had to ask several times for our drinks, which took away from the overall experience. As a small suggestion, it would have been a nice touch to have a chilled bottle of local white wine available in the fridge—particularly given the warm weather (28 degrees). There was a red wine provided, but not really suitable for the temperature. Finally, the air conditioning in our room was not working, which is a significant issue, especially in the summer. At this level, I would expect such essential elements to be checked thoroughly before guest arrival. In summary, a beautiful place with great potential, but some operational details need attention to fully match the expectations of a high-end stay.

What a magical get-away. The food was delicious, location sublime, rooms beautiful and spa services exceptional. 5 Stars aren’t enough to match caliber of this wonderful place.

Lunch at the restaurant was perfect. Everything was as beautiful as it was delicious.

I experienced the restaurant, not the hotel. I had reserved for 2 vegans. Obviously the information was not passed on to the kitchen, which adapted the dishes by removing animal products. I still have doubts about the cream. The asparagus for dessert was stringy and inedible. The veganized starter and main course were good... But we felt that something was missing... As for the bill, it was not adapted.

A truly idyllic setting, made even more beautiful by this magnificent day with its breathtaking view of the snow-capped Canigou. The pool below adds an extra touch of charm, while the superb terrace is the perfect invitation to relax. The service is impeccable: the entire waitstaff is attentive and professional, and the manager's presence, taking the time to visit each table, is particularly appreciated. As for the food, everything was perfect from start to finish. A huge congratulations to the whole team for this flawless experience. A true holiday escape… just fifteen minutes from home. Thank you!

A meal that explores a variety of flavors, with a sweet and savory mix. A pleasant setting, ideal for romantic moments. The staff is very professional and attentive, perfectly matching the quality of the establishment.

WOW. Hands down one of the most magical places I have ever visited. If you want the real beauty of France, then go visit Chateau Les Carrasses. Every moment of our stay has been simply perfect, from the communication that preceded our stay, to everything during our stay. The staff was wonderful - a special thank you to Elise who gave us a sincerely warming welcome that made us feel right at home away from home. The property is majestic, the room was delightful and beautifully kept and activities were definitely not scarse. Another special praise must be given to the dinner service - the chef produced creative and ambitious dishes, such as perfectly blending vanilla in a parsnip purée: pure gastronomical genius. The dinner was also perfectly priced, something that is very rare in France. Their wines that are produced in the Chateau are very promising, especially “La Serre”. All in all, an unforgettable experience and a place that is easily somewhere where you’d want to go back. We personally decided to extend our stay, something we had done only once before.
