Excellent restaurant! We had a wonderful meal. The beef lasagna was superb, generously sized with béchamel sauce just the way I like it, not dry at all, and served with a side salad. The pork tenderloin with Maroilles sauce and sautéed potatoes was also very good. The tarte tatin for dessert was tasty but much too sweet. The service was pleasant and we had a lovely time; we'll gladly return 😊

A truly wonderful discovery, with exceptional dishes. The onion soup was absolutely perfect, where every spoonful was a delight… often shared with your table neighbors! The chicken spring rolls and the pasta bolognese also made children very happy! And the desserts provided a perfect ending to an exceptional meal! Thank you

We were delighted with our choice. Le Chenizelles is a place full of good cheer and warmth, a welcome respite after a visit to the venerable, somewhat sleepy episcopal city.

L'Hotel de La Banniere

30/04/2026: Good, slightly dated hotel in the old center of Laon. The reception was particularly friendly, and the owners provided exceptionally nice assistance during the stay. I was allowed to store my bicycle in the hotel garage. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants, and the sights. Breakfast is extensive, with delicious jam.
28/04/2026: Excellent welcome at this old-fashioned but clean hotel, very well located in the venerable episcopal city. Everything is a bit crooked, but who cares... the welcome is friendly and the parking spaces are less than fifty meters away.

07/07/2026: Having lunch at the foot of the cathedral with a set menu of starter, main course, and dessert for under €20 in the middle of July is a real bargain. Add to that the quality of the dishes, like the truly excellent salmon tartare and the delicious savory buckwheat crepes, and the quick service with friendly staff, and you'll definitely want to go back.
21/06/2026: First visit, just for a drink with friends, great welcome, top-notch service, very clean premises and terrace. I'll be back for a meal.
