Regarding the restaurant: We were a little disappointed. Although we ate well and the staff were pleasant, there were no surprises or wow effects in the mouth, visually or olfactory. We were not transported. The local side is very much highlighted in the dishes and decor, which gives off an unmodern effect which was not to our taste (that said, it is the card played and affirmed by the restaurant, we knew it). No non-alcoholic drinks agreement (worthy of the name) offered with the menus, after asking on our part we were told that we must draw from the drinks on the menu ourselves. Insignificant effort made on the vegetarian menu, particularly on the replacement of the dish with sole, I had to settle for the accompaniment of cabbage, nothing more, nothing less, it left a little bitter taste knowing that the vegetarian menu option is at the same price as the classic menu. I'm here to enjoy myself, not to be satisfied with the accompaniments.. "for you ma'am it will be the same thing, without the sole" "uuuh great thank you.." My handbag with a long handle must have been lying on the floor... impossible to fit it on the chair and a hook (which was not provided) would have left it lying on the floor as well (I didn't want that). check). A beautiful table for lovers of the region and people of a certain age, in my opinion. For those looking to be surprised, to discover new flavors, to travel for a meal, other addresses on the Basque coast (not necessarily star-studded and less expensive) will transport you and make you have an excellent time.

Evening meal for us, we were not staying at the hotel. The restaurant lives up to its excellent reputation. We took the formula with the aperitif in the kitchen which allowed us to meet the Ibarboure brothers. Top chefs, but who know how to keep it simple and affordable. They come and serve you themselves, explain how the dishes are designed... And you see all the staff working in the kitchen. A real timeless moment! The rest of the meal, we were in the large room. All the dishes were perfectly mastered and tasty. The impeccable staff, not stuffy and very friendly. A favorite for us!

Tout était excellent du début jusqu'à la fin, pour un plaisir des yeux et des papilles. Cuisine raffinée et pleine de saveurs. Service impeccable et aux petits soins. Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir !

Nous avons passé un moment très agréable, excellent service, cadre verdoyant et chaleureux, saveurs authentiques et délicates. Si nous avions un bémol à faire : la sole que nous avons moyennement appréciée, peut être trop salé et iodé, et accompagnement vert séché assez particulier.

Repas à deux, excellent du début à la fin, Sommelier très pertinent, le cadre est magnifique et l'expérience culinaire incroyable. Un petit plaisir que je recommande.
