We received a warm welcome at this restaurant and enjoyed our meal on the terrace. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.

The owner saved my weekend by finding my lost cell phone in the forest, so I booked a table for this evening with a friend to thank him. Honestly, between the lovely terrace in the old town of Châteauroux, the incredible kindness and generosity of the owner and his wife, and the quality of the ingredients used for the galettes and crêpes, I'll definitely be back to treat myself. P.S. The ice cream, sourced from an Alsatian producer, is absolutely divine!

A delightful discovery in the heart of Châteauroux, perfect for a meal inside or on the terrace in one of the city's most charming streets. The galettes are generous and delicious, made with carefully selected ingredients sourced from local producers or even further afield, like the artisan ice cream maker near Mulhouse (the ice creams and/or sorbets are simply divine). What's more, the owners are incredibly welcoming! An excellent place to recommend ☺️

Delicious crepes made with high-quality ingredients. A very pleasant shaded terrace adjoining the Saint Martial church on a small historic square. A very enjoyable experience.

We've just returned from Brittany where we spent two weeks...frankly, La Petite Reine remains unbeatable for the quality of its galettes and crêpes!!!

Le P'tit Bouchon

23/07/2026: Lunch at a table in the street, shaded and with a gentle breeze - perfect! Service was timely, forgiving of my less than perfect french, and beautifully relaxed. 4 courses of heavenly food for €37 - wow! Lentil and goats cheese starter - sublime Onglet of beef with a Dijon mustard sauce, garlicky, herby roast potatoes and a few roast veg - delicuous Plate of local cheeses - 4 different and all divine Desert - pretty and tasted even better than they looked. If you're looking for a good spot for lunch, park at Les Halles and stroll to Le P'tit Bouchon.
18/07/2026: An excellent local place with an amazing vibe. The food is excellent and the service is second to none. A lot of locals eat here which is always a good sign. The liver and terrine was excellent.
