Les Gens de Mer sur Dunkerque

This hotel is good for a stop on a tour. The beds are comfortable. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff at the reception. The parking lot is free and plentiful and Dunkirk itself also has a few beautiful little corners such as the beach promenade.

Great location. Rooms are very outdated and had a smell, felt like I was in a prison cell. Bathrooms were for disabled. Somehow lifts stop working at night but the staff helped carry our suitcases up the two flights of stairs. Overall it is cheap but tacky.

Nice location. Unfortunately there are no restaurants in the area.

Very well received and listens very well

Positives: View and location. The tranquility of the staff. Kind. The shower was exceptional. Very good bedding. Negatives: Elevator broken (we were on the 3rd floor). We had to request a change of room because the reception had made a mistake (we had requested 1 double bed and not two single beds. The reception was responsive on this subject and I thank them). No air conditioning. The wifi is really not great. Mixed results, I think we didn't come at the right time. Nevertheless, the welcome was warm, the value for money respected at 70%.

Good spacious room and very affordable. Nice porter at the reception. Good storage facilities. The only downside is that you cannot check in before 4pm

Very well located, sociable and friendly staff, professional

Value for money but don't expect anything more than a clean bed and bathroom. 1970s decor, not restaurant or bar open. Couldn't find staff when needed. Not that close to the ferry terminal but had free parking.
