24/06/2025: My wife had her birthday two days ago and received a voucher for a free pie, valid on Sunday (or Monday if her birthday fell on a Sunday). Since she and I were working all day Monday, we were unable to pick it up that day. So we came on Tuesday, planning to buy a pizza or baguettes and asking if it was still possible to get the free pie. If that wasn't possible, we were prepared to buy another dessert. We are regular customers; we've been coming here for muffins for over three years, and we've always been very well received by the rest of the staff. However, the saleswoman we dealt with that day was professional and courteous, without being friendly or welcoming. She simply told us that it wasn't possible to pick up the pie because the voucher was only valid for one day. My wife explained why she hadn't come earlier, but she seemed indifferent, even annoyed, and replied, "Sorry, have a nice day," before going back behind the counter to attend to another customer without even asking if we wanted anything else. So we left with nothing, disappointed at not having had the pie, but more importantly, feeling like we'd been kicked out. There were still five pies left two hours before closing time, and we would have appreciated if she had at least tried to find out if something could be done, or simply taken the time to ask us if we wanted something else and offer an alternative pie. In short, it wasn't businesslike. We're very disappointed, and we're not sure we'll return if it's for a similar experience.
