Fast service and very pleasant and helpful staff

We stopped for lunch today; it was barely noon. We ordered a whisky and a non-alcoholic beer. The waiter arrived with the whisky and a Schweppes citrus drink. The owner returned, speaking with unusual candor, to say they had made a mistake (she was already a little tipsy). Then we ordered our main courses: a confit with frozen fries and salad, and a plate that should have included half a duck breast, duck breast strips, and dried duck breast with frozen fries, a Rocamadour cheese toast, a green salad, and walnuts. For the second time, we were brought the dishes from another table, and then very quickly ours. I think the duck breast strips and dried duck breast flew off the kitchen and onto my plate. The owner was very familiar with all the customers; I think there are some things that shouldn't be said. Our neighbors to the right, with two children, deserved a more professional order-taking experience than what they received. They asked what the restaurant offered for a children's menu, to which they were told, "We don't have one because it's a pain; they never know what they want, and we throw it away." In short, this was our first time at this restaurant, which boasts an exceptional panoramic view, but the deplorable service means it will be our last. I advise you to avoid it.

During our summer vacation, we chose this restaurant. With so many options in such a place, it was difficult to choose one that didn't feel like a tourist trap. We chose this restaurant because of its simple yet well-crafted menu. When they welcomed us, they immediately found us a good table that suited us and our dog. To be honest, yes, the owners are very outspoken. The kind of outspokenness typical of the Southwest, for those who know it. If you're a tourist used to honey-themed restaurants, don't be put off, because this is a traditional restaurant of its region. A natural restaurant that does its best but suffers from criticism from tourists who imagine they'll be treated like royalty just because they're on vacation. I witnessed a waiter changing his clothes several times during service to avoid being reprimanded for sweating too much, I imagine, given some of the negative reviews. I hope those who criticized this are ashamed. A waiter gives his all during service, and yes, he sweats. I've never seen an employee in any other restaurant so dedicated to projecting a positive image, despite their perfectly normal physical condition, given their efforts in providing excellent service. We ate well, received a warm welcome, and were served exceptionally well. In fact, they were more than just well-served; they were attentive to every empty carafe of water, to every request we had, without us even having to ask, because they anticipated everything. This restaurant is a gem in this area. For us, it's the most authentic, the highest quality, and the most genuine—a true restaurant that doesn't sell anything superficial.
