We took advantage of the Thursday special offer for €200, ladies. This included two six-course gourmet menus, one night in a jacuzzi suite, and two breakfasts for my birthday. I loved everything about the meal, the room, and the enormous breakfast. The staff is lovely, the decor is elegant, the castle is magnificent, and the offer is more than reasonable with excellent value for money. One small drawback: apparently, breakfast is no longer included in the 2026 offers.

A superb place! Arriving late at night for dinner, we discovered a beautifully lit garden. A warm welcome awaited us at the hotel. We enjoyed our first drink at the charmingly decorated bar, with its buttoned walls. Time to sit down to eat. Being the perfectionists we always are, we asked to change tables. A new one was immediately set up on an ultra-comfortable banquette—thank you for this thoughtful gesture! We opted for a six-course tasting menu, accompanied by a five-glass wine pairing. We specified our preferences: one of us doesn't eat seafood, and the other doesn't drink Bordeaux. First course: foie gras, served with a Coteaux du Layon from [wine producer name], vintage [vintage name]. Second course: crab for the two of us… (isn't that seafood?) accompanied by a Pessac-Léognan white from [wine producer name], vintage [vintage name] (and therefore… a Bordeaux!). The dish was changed to a house-smoked trout, unfortunately served too cold, straight from the refrigerator. I didn't ask for the wine to be changed. Third course: sea bream on a bed of leek fondue, rather bland and uninteresting, served with a Pouilly-Fuissé from an unknown producer, vintage unknown. Fourth course: undoubtedly the best: a perfectly pink duck breast, accompanied by a lovely purée and a rich, well-made jus—thank you! Served with a Côtes-du-Rhône (which one? vintage? producer?). Fifth course: a rather successful cheese plate, even if the advertised Munster wasn't really one… Served with a Bordeaux Saint-Émilion (vintage unknown, producer unknown). We then remembered that one of us doesn't drink Bordeaux: I asked for a Saumur-Champigny (vintage unknown, producer unknown). Dessert: a Bavarian cream with a few pieces of mango, well executed. In summary: Impeccable service, with great attention to detail. However, please, stop using the machines to serve the wine… It's a beautiful product, it deserves to be talked about, to be described. When you offer a wine pairing for €55 (about the price of a decent entry-level bottle), you expect a proper pairing, not just glasses placed on the table for you to get drunk on. In the end, a rather steep bill of €310 for two. Even though the setting is magical and the service attentive, we felt we got what we paid for. The intention is good, but the execution needs improvement. Thank you nonetheless for this very thoughtful experience. I came for dinner this evening and ordered à la carte. The meal itself was quite satisfactory. However, I was shocked by the service, which I found shameful. At the next table, a very polite and pleasant young woman explained her food intolerances, as part of a meal imposed by the hotel, with no choice available. Despite this, her restrictions were clearly ignored: she didn't eat any appetizer or dessert, and no alternative was offered. Nothing out of the ordinary: she didn't eat raw salmon, and the dessert was a cream. She calmly mentioned this at the end of the meal when asked if everything was alright. No reaction, no solution. As we left, we departed at the same time, and I saw her go to get some pastries from her car. What a disgrace for an establishment of this caliber.

A very pretty establishment, with superb old architecture, several annexes converted into rooms, a beautiful glass roof that blends perfectly with the building, a stream with a small bridge, a large park for strolling, and pleasant gourmet cuisine. Lovely decor in both the restaurant and the rooms, spa bathroom, ample parking, electric vehicle chargers. My only complaints are the exorbitant price of the spa (which is an extra charge) and the lack of a cloakroom in the restaurant.

We were very disappointed with the welcome: the coordination between our contact person when preparing our visit and the receptionist on the day was clearly lacking, resulting in incomplete and even incorrect information being provided. Furthermore, your website does not accurately depict the size of the estate and the spread of the various outbuildings, nor the numerous staircases that make access between the rooms and the main house difficult, especially for those with limited mobility. For example, it is impossible to go to the spa in a bathrobe when your room is at the other end of the estate. This practical information should be clearly presented beforehand. Finally, the heating in our room upon arrival was faulty and could not have exceeded 13 or 14 degrees Celsius; this inadequate comfort is clearly not up to the standards of a 4-star establishment. On the other hand, the food was excellent, and the service was very professional and relaxed, which was much appreciated. The estate is very beautiful, a gem of the Vexin region. Likewise, the masseuses are very professional; the only thing missing was heated massage tables to make it perfect.

First time at the Jardin d'Épicure and frankly the park is magnificent, the suites are truly top-notch. The dinners are absolutely divine.
