Gorgeous place with lovely food and wonderful atmosphere. Never stayed but I imagine the rooms are lovely. Always try and visit over when staying in that area!

We spend a wonderful 4 nights at the Chateau Les Merles with our two kids. The staff were super friendly, the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was delicious, the room spacious and the bed ultra comfortable and we loved all the activities (tennis, golf, driving range, pool, football goal etc.) on offer. Can’t wait to go back.

This is a great place! We got married here and come back every year. Our whole family praised it! The people are friendly and you can eat very well there. We have not encountered the atmosphere that the Chateau offers anywhere else! A big 10+. The beds are also wonderful…

This was a culinary experience that suited our taste to a “T”. We had salmon and pork belly as starters. The salmon was raw and prepared in three different ways and according to my wife tasty. I had the pork which was one of the best tasting dishes I had ever eaten. A surprise was also how good the burrata encased in a tomato was The mains was tataki duck with dauphinoise potatoes. The duck was scrumptious and the potatoes an eye opener. It was more like a foam and absolutely delicious. Desert was profiteroles that looked like mushrooms with an ice cream filling. Another tasty delight The only let down was the lady serving us. She could have been more friendly like when serving the local French.

I recently managed a business meeting in Bergerac and chose Château les Merles for my stay. From India, I connected with Lilian, who assured me that everything would go smoothly. He managed everything remotely, ensuring my business meeting and stay were well-coordinated. I arrived in Bergerac on the 29th of June, and they arranged a pickup from the station. Upon arrival, I was swiftly helped to access my meeting room and was provided with an amazing cottage at this castle hotel. During my stay, I met Bobby, a young gentleman busy serving dinner to guests. Later, I discovered his parents own the place, highlighting the deep involvement and commitment of the proprietors. Lilian is a true problem solver, always having a solution for everything. Bonne, who was at the reception, is also an invaluable asset to the property. The food is incredible, perfectly blending culinary art and exceptional taste. If you’re visiting Bergerac for travel or business, I highly recommend staying here. The experience will make your stay and business memorable. Don’t forget to explore the resort, take a dip in the swimming pool, and sit outside to enjoy the lush greenery with a cup of coffee. I even took a barefoot walk on the grass in the morning, which reminded me of my childhood. I will be visiting this place again this week for two more business meetings. I would have given this place six stars if Google allowed it, but unfortunately, five stars is the maximum.

For our 50th anniversary our eldest daughter offered us a meal in this magnificent Château, a place where we were able to appreciate a warm welcome, the excellence and refinement of all the dishes, the elegance and delicacy of each one. servers. Thank you for this sublime Périgord setting in which my husband and I took immense pleasure.

Very nice place for rest and relaxation. Very kind staff. A very nice golf course with beautiful greens. Very good restaurant. Everything was perfect.
