A friend who lives in Banyuls surprised us with a trip to Les 9 Caves. We were completely blown away by the surprise menu. Sensational cuisine, great expertise, friendly service—they also speak English, German, and Dutch—and an excellent wine selection at relatively reasonable prices for France. What more can I say... since we'll soon have our own little house in Banyuls, we'll definitely be back!

We were welcomed without a reservation. A beautiful menu of tasty dishes, good wine pairing recommendations, friendly and welcoming service, in a small, sunny, quiet courtyard. We will be back!

04/10/2025: Completely agree with Mélina. The restaurant doesn't look like much, but it faces a cove with excellent food! What a nice surprise. Mama's recipes are great 😜. Great time
24/09/2025: We had a very good meal there, it's a shame that the experience was spoiled by the slow and disorganized service. More than 2.5 hours for an appetizer, a starter, and a main course for two at lunchtime, while the terrace was far from full. Two tables that arrived after us were served before. We didn't order dessert, tired of the wait. The staff was friendly, but the service seemed disrupted that day. Regrettable because the contents of the plates were of good quality.

La Ganotte

04/12/2025: Long ago, it was "Chez Geneviève," named after that fantastic lady who too often treated me to ice cream and made the best croque monsieur in Banyuls. Today, La Ganotte, though obviously operating in a different style (catering heavily to tourists), continues to offer a warm welcome and croque monsieur worthy of Geneviève.
08/11/2025: Very good and a great atmosphere, even in winter. And the view is perfect.
