Les Oliviers sur Brison-Saint-Innocent

The restaurant is very pleasant in its layout, and the chef's cuisine is worth discovering, living up to the descriptions of the dishes we chose. The service, provided by a team of two (waiter and owner), is very attentive. This is a restaurant to try again next time the menu is released.

I've been passing by for years, it was about time I stopped in. A very pretty restaurant, a super friendly atmosphere with a lovely view of the lake, especially with the midday sun. The dining room is very clean. The staff is very helpful, professional, and classy. It's always nice to arrive and be offered a place to hang your jacket! A slightly more upscale restaurant than your average one. I really appreciated the complimentary appetizers, as well as the choice of bread. The menu doesn't offer burgers, but rather original dishes like wild duck or oysters. The yuzu butter was incredible. Flavors you won't find anywhere else. In terms of price, you should know what you're getting into to avoid surprises, but it's still reasonable considering the quality of the service. I recommend it for a family weekend. They also offer a children's and teens' menu!

I recently had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant, and the experience was a mixed bag. The starter, the Murgat Arctic char gravlax, accompanied by a yuzu cream and lime pearls, was excellent: fresh, balanced, and very well executed. However, the main course—seared langoustines with squid ink risotto—was a bit of a disappointment. The risotto was unfortunately unevenly cooked, well-cooked on the outside but still too firm in the center. Furthermore, the presence of crème fraîche, not mentioned on the menu, could be problematic for those with lactose intolerance. Finally, the dessert, a vanilla-almond-pistachio tartlet, lacked a certain lightness and finesse, which made the end of the meal feel a little heavy. In summary, the service is undoubtedly serious and the products are of quality, but the execution would benefit from being more controlled to live up to the menu's promising start.
