Passing through Lille on Friday, January 30, 2026, six of us were looking for a restaurant around 3:00 PM.
Seeing us wandering around, the owner very kindly offered to let us into his establishment despite it being closed and some of his staff being absent.
The result: a very warm welcome, excellent service, and a delicious meal. The kindness and hospitality of people from the North is no myth 😉.
An address to definitely remember 👍

A very warm welcome. Impeccable service. The mussels and fries with Maroilles cheese were delicious. I highly recommend this lovely place.

The Welsh rarebit was by far the best I've ever had, and I'm not even a connoisseur. The beer and service were very good, but the dessert, "P'tits Perdu" or whatever it was, was just a slice of cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for 9 bucks. Disappointing when you're expecting a more elaborate French toast... So yes, they can give it a nice name, but it's still what it is...
