Les Terraillers sur Biot

Last night, we had dinner as a party of seven, including a seven-year-old. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, but the erratic service spoiled our evening: We arrived at 7:30 pm and left the restaurant at 11:30 pm. It took four hours for an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert from the à la carte menu. I think we waited almost an hour for our desserts, which were finally served at 10:30 pm. After asking for the bill and seeing nothing arrive, we got up to pay at the counter, like in a bistro, except at €1,600, it wasn't bistro-style! To top it all off, when we returned our car, the valet charged us €8 per car for a service we didn't use, as our vehicle was already parked before the valet even started his shift. We're all used to Michelin-starred restaurants, but this was a very disappointing experience.

A flawless discovery: remarkable cuisine, a magnificent setting, and warm service.

A superb experience last night. The staff were incredibly attentive despite the evening heat. The €175 eight-course menu is definitely worth trying; it's worth studying, as everything was delicious and the flavors were perfect. The sauces were also excellent, not too heavy. Kudos to the chef! One small point: some of the cutlery was damaged. It's a shame that it detracted from the overall experience. Otherwise, it's a 10/10! Well done!

Les Terraillers is located at the entrance to the small, charming village of Biot. A Michelin-starred restaurant that surprised us. The dishes were fun, delightful, with original flavors and combinations. It had been a while since we'd had such a complete experience. In France, as is well known, chefs are less formal, greeting guests without the air of haughtiness so dear to our local chefs. In this case, Michael Fulci personally brings the main course to the table, explaining it to his guests. We will remember these delightful moments, from the location (an old ceramics workshop), to the tables set simply and carefully in the internal garden, to the attentive yet friendly service. One of the best lunches of recent months. Highly recommended!
