Les Trois Marchands sur Cour-Cheverny

A wonderful discovery in the little church square. My husband had specified a wedding anniversary on the reservation, and Paul, the restaurant manager, had prepared some surprises! He offered us champagne, a rose, and chocolates! So thoughtful! The à la carte meal was delicious, as was the wine, there was no wait, and the staff was lovely: I highly recommend it!

We were welcomed by a delightful young man who charmed us with his kindness, and we sincerely thank him for the time and the wonderful conversation we shared, both about food and conversation. The two Breton women

As for the food, the dishes were decent but rather bland for our taste, lacking seasoning and sauce. We expected more finesse and flavor, given the establishment's reputation. The service also left us somewhat perplexed: on several occasions, the glass of wine arrived after the course, which was a shame as it didn't properly complement the meal. We also had to ask for the bottle of water several times. However, we appreciated the fact that the staff tried to make up for these minor inconveniences by subsequently serving us more generous glasses of wine and offering us a digestif at the end of the meal. Overall, an acceptable experience, but one which, in our opinion, didn't quite live up to the establishment's advertised standards.

Good evening. Just finishing a lovely evening with family. The sashimi was good but lacked a bit of zest and texture. However, kudos to the kitchen for the sweetbreads! Superb crust, melt-in-your-mouth tender inside, perfectly cooked, and the pastilla (the julienne of tangy vegetables) was top-notch 👍🏽. A wonderful discovery with the sturgeon 😃. We hadn't planned on having dessert, but Paul suggested the deconstructed tarte tatin: caramelized apples with lightly sweetened Calvados 👌🏾, very pleasant homemade puff pastry, all softened by a lightly sweetened whipped cream. I highly recommend it. A very enjoyable evening with my parents. Thank you. 😃. Just if I may, given the high standard of cuisine, perhaps you could offer some amuse-bouches in the evening? 😃. A wonderful experience for an overnight stay on our way to the Château de Cheverny. The staff is very kind, pleasant, and attentive. We will gladly return for other castle visits. Many thanks.

The meal was good overall, but ruined by an extremely long wait. We sat down at 7:30 pm, our starter arrived at 8:30 pm, and we left at 10 pm… with a 2-year-old child.

Pleasant place. Large terrace overlooking the church square. Menu with a small but sophisticated selection of dishes. Quite generous portions. Homemade cuisine. Tasty meat. Fresh vegetables, excellent sauce, beautiful presentation. Friendly and discreet service. Highly recommended!

A very decent option in the area, offering a good mix of simpler and more traditional dishes. It's a welcome change from the overly gourmet or classic menus often found nearby. Despite a slightly old-fashioned interior, the tables are very comfortable and the service is young, attentive, and friendly.
