Les Varietes sur Angers

Passing through from Normandy, my partner and I had a wonderful time. The welcome and the food were impeccable. The dishes were of remarkable quality. We loved our visit and wholeheartedly recommend this brasserie. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

It's always a pleasure to stumble upon a hidden gem while out for a stroll, and Les Variétés is definitely one of them. Discovered completely by chance while wandering through Angers, I was immediately charmed by the place. The welcome is warm, friendly, and inviting, and the food lives up to expectations. The tomato tartare was a real triumph: fresh, refreshing, original, and above all, expertly prepared. A seemingly simple starter, but bursting with flavor. This was followed by an excellent beef fillet, of very high quality and perfectly cooked, accompanied by a rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned mashed potato. This is exactly the kind of place I love to discover: unpretentious, warm, welcoming, with genuine attention paid to what ends up on the plate. A truly wonderful find that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Angers.

We visited this restaurant in August. The staff was very kind and helpful. The food was really good. If you're passing through Angers, I recommend trying it.

There were nine of us at the table, adults and children. They were attentive to every request. A superb discovery! A warm welcome, quick service, and delicious food from start to finish. I highly recommend this place!

Excellent service and advice, speaks very good English. We had an excellent Chateaubriand with pepper sauce and fresh mashed potatoes. We would definitely go back there if we are ever in Angers again.

Stale bread, overcooked fish. Even the vegetables didn’t taste very good. The burrata salad with chicken was nothing like the picture that the restaurant posted.
