We had our final lunch of our two-week holiday at Les Vignes in Montpellier – it was simply divine! The attentive service, the excellent cuisine, and – since we're both vegetarians – the seamless conversion of the appetizer to a meatless fish dish! This is what makes dining enjoyable, and the lovely, tranquil atmosphere in the restaurant, as well as on the terrace, is perfect for truly savoring every bite. We will definitely return as soon as we're back in Montpellier. And it was all incredibly good value for money.

Nestled in a small courtyard, it's a true escape from the city. The friendly, welcoming staff make you want to return, just like the place itself. The wine recommendation was perfect. A wonderful tasting experience and a very reasonable menu price for truly excellent cuisine. I'll definitely be back!

I came for dinner one evening last winter and was won over by the atmosphere, the service, and the food. I returned last week to try the lunch menu and I must reluctantly admit I was a little disappointed. I'm not taking away a star because the menu prices are very competitive, but given the quality of the food, I expected better. The wines, however, are very good, and they have 50cl bottles available, which is great if you want to share more than one glass without going back to work drunk. <3

12/08/2026: Excellent meal, an original salad with very fresh ingredients, superb homemade lemonade, and a truly divine dessert (red berry and black sesame tiramisu). The service was quick and very friendly, on a quiet, shaded street. You won't regret it!
11/08/2026: The salmon tartine was no longer on the menu, as it had been so popular. I can therefore be certain of the freshness of the ingredients and that they are not frozen. Inside, the dining area is small and nicely decorated. I don't like the outside because of the proximity of a large wall. The owners are friendly and welcoming. I recommend their tartines. Mine cost €13 and was delicious, in addition to being quite original. I was in a hurry, and it was served quickly. I also had a bulgur salad on my plate, if I'm not mistaken. This place, near Place de la Comédie, is quiet. I finally came back; I loved my two French toasts, one savory and the other sweet.

05/08/2026: A really excellent but not pretentious restaurant. The wait staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable about all of the food and wine on the menu. Food came quickly and was delicious (as well as filling, which is unusual for high-end dining). If you are going for two courses, we’d recommend the main and dessert, but getting all three for €4 extra is a no brainer. We would definitely revisit if ever in Montpellier again!
05/08/2026: A wonderful find in old Montpellier. The cuisine is very sophisticated, especially considering the chef works alone in the kitchen. A real delight at an affordable price in a charming street. Highly recommended!
