We enjoyed a very tasty 3 course lunch on a lovely August afternoon in the shady courtyard. The menu du jour was of excellent value (25€) with regional wines by the glass (6€) . We had assorted rillettes, diced salads, baked fish ( red mullet) with barley risotto, squash flan and steak Bernaise with potatoes, followed by peach cream tarts for dessert. Small restaurant so reservations are necessary, especially if you’d like to dine outside. Authentic and charming.

Fijne lunch met smakelijke gerechten en een charmante bediening. Het terras waar ik at was gesitueerd op amper twintig meter van mijn verblijf, en was licht en luchtig. Weinig ambiance, helaas.

Excellent restaurant with a magnificent courtyard! Well made and elaborate dish! Magnificent wine advice!!!! The boss and staff are super nice, friendly and attentive!!! I highly recommend!

This is not my first visit (and certainly not the last) but the dishes, prices and service are always impeccable. I took advantage of the courtyard for the first time. I was a little afraid of the noise when I arrived, but I ended up having a great time.

Great restaurant! Although there is only a small selection, you can still find something. No tourist rip-off, but good value for money! Top service in top! Ambience was ok.

After several visits, (including a blindfolded experience!) I am finally posting a review! It's our safe bet in Montpellier, the flavors are varied, the menu changes with the seasons, the welcome is warm, and the restaurant is calm. The menu with 3 small starters is 25 euros, with an extra dessert! I can only recommend, go for it with your eyes closed! (No pun intended...)

10/09/2024: After 2 excellent "test" meals at the Grand Arbre, we decided to organize our wedding there (25 people). We were extremely well supported by Ms. Gounel and her team (spaces made available to us, development of the menu, drinks, prices, items that we could bring back, etc.). Everything met our expectations! On the big day, we had a hearty aperitif on one of the outdoor terraces (away from the other restaurant customers). From the start, our guests enjoyed the different appetizers offered (accras, octopus, salmon, foie gras, duck breast, chickpeas, zucchini, etc.)! We were then seated in the magnificent restaurant room (in which we had previously been able to place floral arrangements on the tables, place cards and sugared almonds). Menu of the chef's choice + wine: starter (foie gras), fish main (sea bass), meat main (veal), revisited mounted piece. No false note: everything was excellent! The service was impeccable (present when needed and efficient). Thank you again for your welcome and see you soon: we will come back, that's for sure...
