A warm welcome, even without a reservation on a Friday evening in August. The signature dish, with sweetbreads, was truly excellent, paired with your choice of vegetables, pasta, or fries. The pizzas are made and baked on-site and are also very good.
The dessert was less impressive, but still quite decent. The wine offered, a collaboration of several years with the vineyard, was excellent (La Grande Sieste, red).
A very nice place for a quality meal.

At a table of eight, we were all satisfied with the home-cooked food and the setting. I recommend the 4-in-1 meal deal; it's a complete, balanced, and delicious meal. When we were there, there were four options for this set menu.

A very pleasant stop on the road. The food was simple and delicious, with a daily special of braised pork cheek with porcini mushrooms and aligot (a cheesy potato dish) and a 4-in-1 platter of salad, sausage, aligot, and dessert, accompanied by a good red wine recommended by the owner. All this in a pleasant setting, and above all, cool and airy under the vaulted ceilings – a real treat in this heat!

First visit: The 4-in-1 deal was very good. Second visit: We ordered à la carte: two salads (decent) and one duck breast, served unappetizingly small, with a tiny portion of fries. Don't order the so-called ice cream sundaes; they're just two scoops of ice cream with a little bit of industrial whipped cream, and the "chocolate 'Liège'" is a joke. What a shame!

We had a family lunch on Saturday, market day, with a reservation. Clearly, the service was overwhelmed by the number of people seated. We waited 20 minutes before our order was taken, and one of the dishes wasn't what we ordered, even though the owner did everything he could to rectify the misunderstanding. A mixed experience overall, even though the food was good value for money.

The duck breast was incredible, the portions were generous and really good. The waiter was welcoming. We had a very good lunch.
One of the few restaurants open on Mondays in Mende.
Highly recommended.
