The dishes are beautiful and delicious. They showcase French culinary expertise with local flavors. The portions are just right for enjoying a full meal.
I highly recommend this lovely establishment.

29/03/2026: The dining room was mediocre, the food passable except for the couscous; one of our guests was ill after the meal. The waiter... no comment.
We won't be returning.

19/03/2026: A wonderful discovery! The service was very efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The dishes were delicious and offered at a very reasonable price. We've decided to return to your restaurant on our next visits to Mende.
30/01/2026: Very nice. For me, this is a restaurant I'd forgotten about in Mende because it's a bit out of the way and, more importantly, the storefront isn't very visible to passersby. The meal was excellent and the welcome was warm.

03/05/2026: Incredible value for money, I've never seen anything like it anywhere in France, and I've traveled quite a bit. Absolutely fantastic! Good luck to those who order the maxi kebab lol 😂 (PS: Don't pay attention to the negative reviews, they're clearly from competitors who are bitter that Cappadoce has bankrupted them and caused almost all the other kebab shops in Mende to close, poor things)

27/04/2026: Stopped for lunch on our holiday road trip, the meal was lukewarm and tasteless, the pizza crust was undercooked – even though it's a brasserie, you expect better! And don't even get me started on the waiter, who was clearly nearing retirement and was frankly awful and rude. Personally, the two desserts didn't make a difference to the service or the meal!
26/04/2026: We had a very good lunch. The set menu of starter, main course, and two desserts was excellent. The starter buffet had a wide variety of choices, the main course (poultry or fish) was very generous, and there were two desserts to choose from. You'll want to try everything! There were delicious tarts, entremets, and lovely seasonal strawberries—plenty of options. I recommend Le Provençale because, for the price, you won't be disappointed.
And the staff were very friendly.

The whole team is welcoming, smiling, and pleasant; you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. A wonderful takeover that has truly breathed new life into the place, in a friendly atmosphere. I can't wait to enjoy the terrace when the weather gets warmer; I highly recommend it! 😊

29/01/2026: It's more like a two-star than a three-star hotel. I was given a supposedly luxury room without being told it was a special room for disabled guests. While I have nothing against disabled people, it would have been helpful to be informed beforehand. The rooms are mediocre and often very noisy in the morning showers, with no hot water – in short, a disaster.
Not to mention the noise from the upstairs neighbor until midnight, when it sounded like she was moving furniture. The reception was pleasant enough, and the hostess isn't to blame, but overall, not a great experience.

One of the few restaurants open on Mondays in Mende.
Highly recommended.

01/03/2026: The fries are always cold here, but we often go when we're shopping because we like burgers. Our order was delivered without one burger, and no one told me. I had to go and ask, and they told me it was made to order (a McCrispy for my husband). Almost 15 minutes later, it arrived cold. In the meantime, I had already eaten my burger, which was also cold. They offered to make it again, but I refused. So I was refunded for the burger, not for the meal, just for the burger—and what's more, the refund was insufficient since they refunded me for the wrap and not the burger. I got a half-hearted "sorry," but basically, it was clear that no one cared. I won't be going back.
05/02/2026: I ordered McFlurry ice creams, one with caramel Kit Kat and the other with chocolate Kit Kat, and I got plain ones. Things aren't getting any better at the beginning of February; there are only problems like this!
