L'Escadre sur Dunkerque

A very good experience, an underrated restaurant that deserves to be discovered! Excellent for mussels.

A very pleasant surprise to discover this restaurant. They offer Northern specialties, but also a selection of other dishes, all equally varied and generous, to satisfy every palate. Coming from the South, it's often difficult to choose where to spend a pleasant meal with family. Our "chance" find was matched only by the satisfaction of a chef who knows his craft, as well as the warm welcome from his wife and the waiter. We will definitely be back.

A superb discovery today... beautiful location... very pleasant decor, living up to the establishment's reputation... excellent cocktails! Impeccable service and dishes (beef steaks!) beautifully presented and enhanced with various ingredients, absolutely delicious!!! The desserts (profiteroles and Norwegian Island) were equally impressive... simply put, we'll be back soon!!! (I should add that my partner and I greatly appreciated the tranquility of the establishment!!!!)

Adding to this is a major advantage: it's very close to the beach, making it the ideal place to recharge after a day in the sun or a walk on the sand. The restaurant's menu is straightforward, focusing on simple yet effective dishes. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked; it's clear they have a knack for the kitchen and respect the ingredients. On a purely subjective note, the sauces that accompanied the dishes weren't entirely to my liking, but I understand that this is simply a matter of personal taste and doesn't detract from the quality of the dishes themselves. Another very positive aspect worth highlighting is its affordable price. Finding a place just steps from the beach, with such a beautiful setting and well-prepared food that doesn't break the bank, is always a pleasant surprise. In short, a highly recommended experience. L'Escadre combines a lovely atmosphere, an unbeatable location, and honest food at a good price.
